Interesting place and shops. Many good places to eat. By far my favorite was taking a picture with the tigers. Lots of walking and I don't know how long the kids will last.

Enjoy plenty of restaurant choices, loads of shopping, entertainment such as Alabama Theater, House of Blues, or Alligator Adventure. Water views, people watching, open air, just walking around with your family or friends. During the tourist season, be prepared for walking (wear comfortable shoes), looking for a parking spot, crowds. There are benches for sitting, but they are often taken.... More

Barefoot Landing is the premier location in the northern SC Grand Strand for all kinds of fun activities, whether you are a resident or a visitor. Great restaurants with every kind of food. The best in high end entertainment like the concerts at House of Blues. There are regular special events like fund raisers for local causes (humane society) and... More

Very different that many of the MB places such as downtown and broadway at the beach. Definitely not a "destination" but has a great assortment of restaurants and bars and a couple of entertainment venues, including a House of Blues and the Alabama Theater. They are in the process of sprucing the place up and adding about 10 new shops.... More

If shopping.. ..fun...shows and restaurants are on your mind...then Barefoot Landing is right up your alley. Feed the fish and ducks on the boardwalks and stroll from shop to shop. There is a north and south side..be sure to take time to visit all.

Seen better days. They are supposed to be updating it, but from reading what they are planning to due, it's mostly cosmetic and a few new stores, but nothing special. There are quite a few restaurants in the complex, which makes it worth a visit if your looking for a place to eat.

Toured the North side of Barefoot Landing after eating at "Flying Fish" - excellent food by the way. Not many people were shopping in the area when we were there on Friday. We noticed a few empty stores and several places to eat too. Maybe the South portion of Barefoot Landing was better but we didn't venture there. Maybe we'll... More

Lots of great shops and when the weather is nice it's a great atmosphere. Everyone was friendly. Worth a visit. We didn't do any shows but ate at the Tiki restaurant which was good.

The boardwalk itself is aging and the stores are vacant. There are highlights like The Christmas Mouse and the Kite store. The Olive Store is nice and the candy places are ok. But you can tell that this place is starting to get warn down. If you do want a GREAT Italian dinner, go to Umbertos, probably one of the... More
