If you're in Myrtle Beach, you have to go get Jack and friends to teach you to surf! It was an awesome experience, and even a klutz like me was able to get enough tips and pointers to start riding waves in. It was so much fun and the staff is incredibly helpful and patient.

My step son and I had a lesson this summer and it was a great experience for both of us. Instructor was attentive, and had plenty of chances to catch some waves in our one hour session

Jack was such an amazing instructor! He helped everybody at least once one on one since they are mainly group sessions. He was very kind and helpful. I got up several times and helped with telling you exactly what wave to ride how to ride it and when. I highly recommend to everybody! Because of Jack, I have wanted to... More

I would like to give a word of advice and I do hope the owners of Jack's Surf Lessons will listen. Your website is misleading and should clarify that when a person signs up for a private lesson - it isn't a one on one with the instructor. Instead, it is a big class of 10+ (mix of kids and... More

I set up a semi-private lesson for my 9 year old son...Jack answered my call and addressed all my questions. The location they have is perfect for surfing. They are patient and really helped all the kids get on the right wave. They paid attention to everyone in the class (difficult to do while waves are sometimes crashing over their... More

Had a private lesson with Jack for two hours and it was everything I thought surfing could be! He was very professional and down to earth and had great knowledge and patience. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I strongly recommend the 2 hour private lesson with Jack. He had me surfing within the first couple of... More

My son got a "private lesson" form this little kiosk and let me tell you, it wasn't so private. There are a bunch of college students running this operation and are not very informative. My son was unsure where to place his belongings and one of the boys replied "just leave it I. The beach" the young men running this... More

My daughter (18 yrs) and her friend (17) wanted to take surf lessons during our stay in Myrtle Beach last week. When I called, Jack himself answered the phone & all of my questions and we scheduled for the next day. The girls had a 2 hour semi-private lesson & both were able to ride many waves during that time.... More

We had our kids (ages ranging from 10 to 16) do a 2 hour lesson. It was terrific. Everybody enjoyed it - and that is no small feat with this group. We got some great pictures and our instructors were super sweet and fun-loving. Would definitely recommend for other visitors!!

I was a walk in, first time on the board and I can say that this surf school is legitimately awesome. The people are friendly, Tara was quick to get me a spot registered (Did a two hour private lesson) and I was up and nearly standing by the end of the lesson, my instructor was patient and calm, very...
