My husband and I enjoyed this boat ride on October 3rd. Loved going up the Intercoastal Waterway and looking at the homes and the yachts coming in. Didn't see any dolphins this time and we were given a ticket to come back whenever we want! Yes, we did get wet (tip-don't sit on the seat directly behind the the cover... More

This is a fun 2+ hour cruise on a Monster speed boat out Little River, past the Intercoastal Waterway, and up or down the coast. Ours went north off the North Carolina coast. We think the captain was in contact with shrimpers to locate dolphin pods. One of the pods had around 30 dolphins with young. He was able to... More

We wanted to see if we could see some dolphins, and we definitely saw dolphins on this cruise and then some! The seating on the boat was a little weird, but it didn't matter much since most people stood up anyway. The cruise went through the intercostal waters where we saw an osprey as well as 2 bald eagles. On... More

We bought out tickets online and showed up for the cruise on the Sea Thunder. It was easy to check in. We sat in the back as our 3 year old chose our seats. He was captivated by the large waves and we saw many dolphins behind the shrimp boats. The ride was nearly 2 hours and we enjoyed the... More

Ride the sea thunder today. I was a little skeptical at the high reviews. They weren't lying, one of the best things we've ever done at the beach. We have a 6 and 7 year old and they loved it. When they say you'll get wet. They mean it. We packed a change of outer clothes, but needed EVERYTHING. But,... More

The Sea Thunder is basically a big speed boat/tour boat. It heads down the Intracoastal waterway and out to the Atlantic for dolphin watching. It is a GREAT time!!!! The 2 captains of the boat make it a very friendly, fun atmosphere. They do everything to maximize your enjoyment including giving some interesting facts about the area and positioning the... More

The ride out through the waterways was leisurely but once we got out in the open, the boat sped and everyone got drenched. Yes, we were warned but I wish I knew ahead to bring a poncho or towel. Proper planning would suggest you actually come in swim clothes or clothing that can dry quickly. Keep in mind the seats... More

I knew there was a small craft advisory the day we planned to do this cruise, so I called ahead to make sure they were still open. Oh yes, absolutely said the person who answered the phone. So we went and got our tickets (45 mins before departure, not sure why they made us get there so early). It wasn't... More

Loved the music and history knowledge of the Intracoastal waterway. The speed and water spray are a fun experience!

The boat was very big, a professional captain, we were able to see dolphins up close. A must see in Myrtle Beach on vacation.
