Just saying, this area has only one elevator on the side where the disabled parking is located. It's small, and when someone is in a wheelchair, it's so awkward. There is NOT another on the opposite side of the arena. There R not enough handicapped seats, only 8, that I see. Please, update this venue so more of the disabled... More

This is the place to begin your touring of the area. Best parking here. We took a Historic city bus tour $68.00, which leaves from the Visitors Center. Then we purchased the Charleston Heritage Passport. Best value. $91.90 Admission to nine of the areas most important historic sites. Good for two days. Savings of 40% off regular price.

The lines to see a convention center rep was long, but once we got the the window, they were very helpful. You can get tickets for most anything there, but I wonde if especially for some of the tours, a person may get a better price dealing directly with the tour operator.

I liked that they recommended the passport which we purchased. We also purchased the carriage ride through them and I'd highly recommend that as well. The other thing I liked is that the parking in the visitor's center garage is so much more reasonable than so many other cities. Charleston - DON'T sell your garages. I have two other recommendations.... More
