Got a tee time on short notice and enjoyed our round. Fun trip over the waterway. Course was in pretty good shape. Fast play.
I have played this course a couple of times and do not feel it is that impressive. Both times condition was only so so. There are better values in Myrtle Beach for the same green fees. No great desire to play there again.
I did not play this course on my most recent trip because it is so expensive in October. Otherwise, when I have traveled to Myrtle in August and September I play regularly. Great and enjoyable course designed by Robert Trent Jones, solid location, too.
We played a 9 hole threesome. Many coursed do not want to book a tee time for just 9 holes. Waterway Hills was more than accommodating. The people were all very courteous. We were amazed at what great condition the course was in for the end of July. It is definitely not the most challenging course, which is good since... More
Not the most challenging of courses but was a very refreshing surprise. I arrived as a single there while on a family vacation, hooked up with a threesome of returning guests and had a great time. The course is well maintained with a good layout, has good length and surprising challenges. Overall it is a very relaxing course with a... More
This is an interesting and unique course. The pro shop can only be reached by cable cars that attendants put you in to go across the waterway. It seems as if your clubs will be in danger, but they are perfectly safe (hopefully!). My dad and I started right on time and played with nice people. There is a lot... More
I recently went out as a single on a weekend morning. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was surprised by this course. Many of the holes are fairly challenging and the course condition (expecially the greens) was great. I'm not sure who would want to make this a "must play" course on your next trip, but I... More
I drove past Waterway Hills for years on the way to other courses... I didn't take it seriously; something parking on one side of the Inland Waterway and riding a cable car to the other seemed more like an amusement park than a golf course. I mentioned it to a golf buddy, and he surprised me by saying that his... More
What a gem of a course. A Robert Trent Jones layout that comes with a cool ride in a tram over the waterway before you've even swung a club.
This is a very nice track! They offer 3 different 9 hole courses for play. As some have mentioned in other reviews most of the holes run adjacent to each other, but if you have ever played country club golf then you won’t even notice it. The gondola ride is a unique touch to the course that will offer a... More
