Rainy Day Place to be

This is a great place to go if the weather isn't right for the beach. You could easily spend the whole day there.

Just a collection of stores and restaurants ando some things for people to do. Not really a place to spend much time unless you have young children and need to keep them happy. Not a place for couples or just wandering. All stores you have seen before and you need to miss the timeshare bakers trying to get your money.

We visited Myrtle Beach from 4/11/15 to 4/15/15 but the weather kept us off the beach. This was a nice diversion from the rain. We strolled the entire boardwalk under our umbrella, shopping in all of the unique botiques. We also caught a movie and then dinner. It was definitely reminiscent of Downtown Disney.

This was my fourth time in seven years visiting here. It seems like there are more restaurants than actual retail. Many of the retail shops have more than one location here. Definitely not the variety that there used to be and there's a few out of business empty vendors. They have put in a big water slide and a few... More

Broadway at the beach reminds me of Downtown Disney but on a bigger scale. We didn't shop, but there were tons of restaurants and food carts with lots of options for everyone. The attractions here are great and there are a lot of them. We did Wonderworks and Magiquest and loved both. The Johnny Rockets was a treat for the... More

During the day there are lots of activities and attractions for adults as well as kids. In the evening the place is teeming with clubs and pubs for adults. Would definitely recommend.

Broadway at the Beach had something for everyone, shopping, restaurants, souvenir shops, playground, rides, attractions and more. Great way to spend an afternoon or early evening after the kids (and parents) have had enough of the beach. Lots of different shops in one place--name brands all the way to small boutique places. Be sure to stop by Del Sol for... More

This is an idealized cleaned up boardwalk with shops and attractions. I did not actually see any beach from here but there are a lot of things to do. Great day for families that want to avoid the spring break bong shop atmosphere on the actual beach strip. A bit "disnified" for travellers who like to keep things real and... More

Where's the beach?? Very touristy area with every kitchy chain-restaurant you can think of: Hard Rock Cafe, Panet Hollywood, Margaritaville. No originality and feels more like a carnival atmosphere versus a great beachside location.

This was one of those "Hey look at that- lets stop". It was a great place to walk around- had lots of things to see and do. Definitely a great place for families with kids.
