This course was one of the 8 we played in our package. We enjoyed it because a) it was in great shape although the greens were faster than any we experienced on this trip, b) it wasn't busy at all and we were able to go out anytime we were ready, c) had a nice practice facility, d) had elevated... Played in a tournament here. Staff were very helpful. The course was in very good shape. A little spotty in the fairways, but it is early in the growing season. Bent grass greens were hard as a rock, but putting was good.

We had a party of 16 and the staff was friendly (except one), the rate was more than fair and the course was in excellent shape. I would play there again.

Out of the way but close enough. Pretty and well designed course. Ranks in my top 10 of courses for all skill levels. Everyone that I have taken has really enjoyed the layout and great grass. We have not done this but twice but the lodging specials above the club house are fantastic. Great business get away or winter golf... More

You don't live in the "seaside golf capital of the world" for more than 20 years, play all 100+ courses and admit you've played Shaftesbury Glen 30+ times without good reason. There is no doubt there are a few "designer" courses in the area - but only a tiny handful worth paying "Hilton Head" rates. Shaftesbury Glen is an excellent... More

Shafetsbury is a hidden gem of the Grand Strand. The greens are very good to excellent and the bunkering will test any golfers ability from the sand. The course does not drain well and you may be faced with cart path only, so call ahead to check. Shaftesbury is an open course that you can hit it hard and par... More

I had the pleasure of playing this course early in December 2014. Really liked this course which was in excellent condition. Real good bent greens, fairly forgiving tee to green, and overall enjoyable course design were much appreciated by this hacker. The experience was furthered by really nice friendly and accommodating staff who did everything to make sure out 20... More

We play this course 2 or 3 times a year and it is always in excellent condition. The Staff is as friendly as any you'll find at a course. John from Columbus is a great staff member at the course.
