Played a morning round on late June vacation with my 13 year old son. My son knows his way around a golf course and plays faster than most adults, but it's always a question mark as to how the course staff will react when I walk up for an early tee time with him. The folks at Pine Lakes were... More

Husband was looking forward to our Golf trip to Myrtle Beach! This did not disappoint! Beautiful grounds. Absolutely wonderful southern hospitality from all the staff we encountered! The back nine definately harder than the front! However, the front nine can get quite windy! Nice place to golf!

Would have given this course 4 stars instead of just 3, except the starter, Bob, was extremely rude, and not just once either. He was rude before we started and he was rude again halfway through our round. Will NOT return here for that reason. For the rates people pay to play these courses in Myrtle Beach, they should be... My rule in reading other reviews is that if a reviewer says one member of a staff was rude, that staff member may need to be replaced or maybe they just had a bad day. If a reviewer says EVERYONE was rude....well maybe the reviewer is the issue. Regardless, I found the staff at Pine Lakes was superb and only... More

Just played here for the first time since all the changes and won't be going back. What made this easy course worth playing was the treatment from the staff and the focus on tradition. All of that is gone and has been replaced by the worst staff we met in six days of golf in Myrtle. My advice is to... More

Golfed Pine Lakes on short notice on a day that it was suppose to rain. Got through the round without rain -- Ended up being one of our favorite courses. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Friendly staff. Kept people moving. Beautiful clubhouse. All around was a great experience and would definitely come back!!!

The course was nice and well maintained. We felt a bit rushed on the course b/c several groups behind our foursome were 2 or threesomes. We finished our round in 3:45 minutes but always felt rushed. I was shocked with the cost of the round not to have a driving range facility to warm up. It has been 4 months... More

The food at Pine Lakes is great, but regretfully only open for lunch with bar service in the evening. Even if you don't golf, worth dropping by to see the original, "The Grandaddy Course", of Myrtle Beach. The clubhouse and grounds are open to visitors and invoke a bygone era; special events in the club house are catered in elegant... More

Played 18 holes during a January vacation an had a great time. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Golf course was in fantastic shape for the time of year. Pretty wide open but a nice challenge for all skill levels. Be aware the greens are a slower but I was told this is due to the type of grass used... More
