Pretty Golf Course, but not what it used to be

The course was in pretty nice shape for being so soggy and wet, but not exactly like it used to be. The service wasn't quite up to par as it was a few years ago. We used to get... read more

The course was in pretty nice shape for being so soggy and wet, but not exactly like it used to be. The service wasn't quite up to par as it was a few years ago. We used to get towels and tees before you even tee'd off, this time we were greeted by someone who seemed to have just pulled... More

the course its self was very nice and in very good shape... BUT the staff was terrible. Very unfriendly. they cross started the 1st and 10th which i understand why and i know its common but the started "seemed " to let an extra group or two in front of us which drastically slowed down play. the "ranger" if that... If you are a golfer of any caliber when in fhe Grand Strand play its Granddaddy course. Hint it is Pine Lakes. The course was phenomenally manicured and lush. This a challenging course. I do not get to play much. However, I was not upset that I shot poorly that day but I enjoyed the horticulture around the fairways and... More

The course use to be one of my favorite places to play when in Myrtle Beach; however since they redid the course it is just not the same. I have played it a couple times since it was redone and I think it gets worse every time. The course itself is in pretty good shape however; not as nice as... More

First of all, don't rely on your car GPS to get you here. The entry has been reconfigured off Grissom Parkway, so know where you're going before leaving to play. Bag drop and pro shop service were fine. We didn't know that there is NO DRIVING RANGE available, just a putting/chipping area. This can be a big deal for some... More

The Granddaddy is a cracking course and the greens were immaculate, if not a little on the slow side. It's well laid out with every hole needing careful consideration from the tee. The service was excellent from arrival to departure and the club shop was well stocked with the lovely 'Pine Lakes' logo garments. I would love to play this... More

I’m writing to let you know how our day of golfing went today on your course. We were teamed up with a very nice young man from New Jersey. The course was a bit rough off the fairways and greens (understandable for the time of the year) but well-marked and we appreciated the handy GPS devices in the carts. The... More

This is what a true upscale golf course is in MB. From the bag drop attendants, the professional staff, the grill room gals, to the player assistance reps, this is first class. Take a walk around and into the clubhouse before the round just to get a feel for a this icon of a golf course. The course plays long,... More

Very nice and very busy golf course. If you take advantage of the 1:00 pm twilight rate in early March and expect to get 18 holes in, think again. Out there for 5 1/2 hrs which is a despicable pace of play. Put some flood lights up on 16 thru 18 Pine Lakes so your paying customers can finish their... More

Well maintained for December 26. Greens were in good shape - rolled true. Starter was a nice man - directing us to the right tee boxes. Played with grandson and son-in-law. Son-in laws best round ever. Looking forward to playing again in June.
