If you like golf with lots of water hazards, this is the place for you. I love this course because it's very playable. This course makes you think and with proper course management you can shoot a good score. It's not long from the senior tees and the fairways and rough are green, not the brown dormant, Bermuda.

Played Man O War for the first time today after a few visits to the sister course The Wizard. Like the Wizard course was in excellent shape. Green grass everywhere. Greens, tees, fairways, and rough all over seeded. The greens were very soft but rolled smooth and quick. Generally, the course is not real right. There is plenty of room... More

Love the course, the layout, the quality of the greens. This is an excellent value for any Myrtle Beach Course. Liked it so much, I purchased a local membership and play there on a regular basis now.

Starter was very friendly with a great sense of humour. We were promised first tee time and actually got it for a change and this made for a quick round. Lunch is typical - hot dog or sandwich, beer or pop and chips. Pro shop and lunch counter staff could try a smile for better customer service. Course itself was... More

Played this course 11/15/14. Due to cold weather the course was almost empty. As a consequence, it was a quick round. The greens were excellent and the fairways were equally good. Problem is, this course has dozens of wooden bridges, all of which are showing signs of wear. Current green fee is reasonable for golfers, but unlikely to produce the... More

Played 5 courses in a week and this course was 5th of 5. There had been lots of rain in its defence but it doesn't drain well and the greens were the worst I've played in either USA, Spain or Portugal.

I get to Myrtle Beach once a year, and we try to play 5 or 6 rounds of golf throughout the week. We always like checking out new courses and the Man O War definitely looked like a must play from the pictures. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to its name. It was a challenging course, but not in... More

I played this course on 8/15/14 and it was in marvelous shape. They have a deal between Wizard, Witch, and Man O'War where you get three rounds for $99 at any time of day. I am sure the special is closing as they get to the fall, but keep this place in mind if you are a Summer golfer. This... More
