If you only see one show... this is the one! "Top Attraction in Myrtle Beach" according to CNBC! The Carolina Opry has won every major South Carolina tourism award including Most Outstanding Attraction and the prestigious Governor's Cup. And it's the only show that has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, TNN, and USA Today, which called it "A Big Hit". The New York Post called it "A Hot Ticket".Entertainer and entrepreneur Calvin Gilmore launched The Carolina Opry on South Carolina's Grand Strand in 1986. His live music variety show features a cast of 36 of the nation's top singers, dancers, comedians and musicians in its own 2200-seat show palace with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and three giant video screens. The show, which is continually updated with new music and comedy, is two hours of high energy entertainment that blends humor and dancing with everything from rock 'n roll, Broadway and country to classic hits, pop melodies and gospel.Young and old are counted among its fans who are sure to include a performance in their visit to Myrtle Beach. In November and December the theater is transformed into a winter wonderland where the magic of the season comes alive in The Carolina Opry Christmas Special a wonderfully dazzling, jolly and sentimental musical celebration of America's best-loved holiday.

My wife and friends decided to take in the show "Good Vibrations". We left with good vibrations. It was a good show and well performed. There were a lot of good songs from the 60's and 70's with the ommission of songs by top bands such as Beatles and Dave Clark Five etc. But, having said that, it was very... More

Went to "Good Vibrations" because it was billed as 60 70s and 80s rock, which is my era and taste. It was a good show and fun evening, and I recommend it. But I gotta tell you, this is what a rock show would be if you were heavily into C&W. The music was very good, the singers talented. But... More

Great talent, high energy show, All That (cloggers) were wonderful, so in sync & seeming to have endless energy. Comedy act was boring & old school, but the 60's, 70's& 80's music was great. We got the general admission tickets & were in the 2nd section back middle. They were 20 dollars less a ticket. There are two big screens(... More

You will never be disappointed when you spnd moneyon quality wholesome family entertainment. We attend the Christmas show every year with adult friends. The show never gets old. We just took 2 grandchildren (ages 6 & 3) for Valentine's & they had an absolute BLAST! They have told the daycare workers & the teachers at the elementary school about "Mr.... More

We were in Myrtle Beach for the Valentine weekend. We had been to Carolina Opry once before within the last 6 months. We had the opportunity to see the Good Vibrations show in addition to the Opry show. My wife and I really enjoyed the Good Vibrations show. The comedy routines were funny (however we could do without the political... More

I was shocked to discover that there is this type of racist, closed minded "entertainment" in 2015. It's not the fault of the great talent, Calvin Gilmore needs to get a clue.

Even though we have been to Myrtle Beach many times, this is the first time we have gone to The Carolina Opry, but it will not be the last. The show was very entertaining, fast paced, and professional. Do yourself a favor and spend an evening at TCO. You will not regret it.

If you get anywhere near Myrtle Beach, SC you must visit this show. My friends and I have just enjoyed 2 hours of the most dynamic entertainment I have seen in a long time. This is a high talent variety show that the entire family can enjoy.
