Part of the Springmaid Beach Resort, the Springmaid Pier stretches 1,060 feet into the ocean. The pier holds the state record for Spanish Mackerel and hosts numerous fishing tournaments. The pier's BARnacles Bar & Grille offers tasty food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. The kids will especially enjoy the hand-dipped ice cream!

Goes way out. There's always something to see. Birds on the water, birds on the pier, occasionally dolphin passing by, fishermen casting out and reeling in. A great place to hang out, people, bird and critter watch.

My husband and I were married on the beach right north of the pier and had a nice photo shoot on the pier. We had our reception at the Springmaid Beach Resort. A lot of beautiful memories with great scenery!

Has public bathrooms, ice cream, sometimes music, games, fishermen and women doing their work. What is there not to like.

My family loves to walk on piers and the Springmaid Pier was very clean and you have a great view! The planes were cool to watch when they flew over. They had a nice gift shop too. We parked across the street. Not sure if there was closer parking but the signs we saw for parking were pointing across the... More

If you like to hear helicopters and planes flying over you and LOUD , then this is your beach. Very bad area to drive to as well with limited parking.

Make sure you take some cash with you when you walk the beach. Pier is 1$ for entry - kids were free (ages 2 and 4) Fun to watch the sharks come out from under the Pier when fishermen are cleaning their fish. Gift shop and restaurant. Clean washrooms. Saw a sea turtle last year under Pier which was pretty... More

It's only $9 a person to go fishing on the pier and $1 for observers. They don't really monitor the observers during the off-season (winter), but they do for the fishing passes. If you go during the off months, prepare to be limited on your tackle options in the main shop since they're not as well stocked as the shop... More
