If you want to get in on a locals secret, then start over here at New South Brewery. World class small batch brewing, without a single snob in sight. They will be happy to show you some southern hospitality and pour you some drinks only available at the brewery. My favorites are the bourbon barrell lilly, and the darkstar porter.... More

Small operation but the beer is very good. The tour was informative and funny. The staff was great. They give you 4 samples of their brew while taking the tour and you can purchase beer after the tour for carry out or have there. Well worth a visit if you like craft beers. If you go in the summer, expect... More

Friendly people, interesting tour, great beer. It's in an out of the way place, so it's a little hard to find. Don't be deterred. It's not as touristy as most of the places in Myrtle Beach. I hear a lot of the local restaurants serve this locally brewed beer, so after the tour go eat some good food and enjoy... More

This place was great! I found it on Tripadvisor. I was searching for a brewery for my husband bc he likes these type of places. It was more appealing that it is free. The tour is great, people are nice and you can stay and buy a few beers there and / or Togo at the end. I have to... More

This is a must do for any one visiting the area. The staff is fantastic and makes you feel so welcome. The tour is fun and informative, not to mention the fantastic beer you can sample! Roddy and Allie are fantastic and make the entire experience so much fun. Give New South a try. You won't be sorry.

Finding this honey hole you might fine challenging but it worth it! I love doing brew tours so when I discovered New South online I know I had to go. Went on a Thursday as they only do tours 3 days a week. The tour started with of course a sample of what I would call a delicious beer! Our... More

As you pull in, like many microbrews, you think you are walking into a bad horror movie from the location and parking lot. BUT, you walk in and see the familiar sights of a small brewery. Smiling staff, simple beer names (lager, white ale, nut brown ale) and a cozy basement, local bar vibe. Great stop for beer lovers!

You can't imagine what you are in for when you first pull in; the lot doesn't look like anything. Once inside you are pleasantly surprised! The guide is friendly, humorous and definitely knowledgable. He helps to "de-mystify" the beer making process. Very entertaining and VERY good beer. Highly recommend the tour, and the nut brown ale. Only wish we could... More

let me preface the term "brewery tour." New South is a decent size operation but the tour consisted of hearing our tour guide, Rodney, talk about the brewery and their process. The tour I attended was HUGE. At least 60 people strong so we had to move into the warehouse for the tour. Tours are typically in the tasting room... More

We live in the area but never miss an opportunity to take a tour and have a few pints at New South when we can. The beers are fantastic, the tours are interesting, and the guys who run the place make you feel right at home! Highly recommend taking the tour if you are visiting Myrtle Beach!
