Carolina Improv Company is located INSIDE the Myrtle Beach Mall at the Uptown Theater with seating for approximately 75 people. It's a very intimate (and small) space and serves beer, wine and soda. Yes, it's a little unconventional but that's what makes it fun (and cheaper than other shows). Our seats are transportable cushioned chairs and sometimes we have to pull out folding chairs when people are begging to see us. The fire marshall lets us have up to 110 people in the space. Since the mall does not provide outdoor signage it could be tricky to find us. The mall anchor is Bass Pro Shop and Uptown is on that end of the mall. For the quickest path to the theater, guests should park at the back of the mall between Bass Pro Shop and Carmike Cinema. Hungry? There are several restaurants at the mall where you can eat before visiting us.

We went to see "Whose Beach is it Anyway" (the family-friendly version), and it was probably the most enjoyable two hours of our whole weekend in Myrtle Beach. It can be hard to find good, clean entertainment when in a new city, and we were thankful to find this place. For less than seeing a movie in the theater, you... More

Very enjoyable Improv Club, the performers were very good - really enjoyed the show, cost was ridiculously reasonable. Our young teens got a kick out of it too! Recommend - be sure to ask if it's family friendly or adult - we travelled with kids but bet an Adult Only show would be really fun too.

Spending an evening with the Carolina Improv is assured to be entertaining. They are amateurs but have a lot of energy and are willing to risk being silly -- actually, they intend to be silly. It is fun, light and enjoyable.

The Carolina Improv at Uptown in the mall was just the ticket to wrap up our week at Myrtle Beach. Understand that this place is small (40 or 50 people) and the talent are semi-professionals BUT know they are good at improv and we laughed until our sides hurt. The show we attended was just like a famous TV show... More

The Carolina Improv has added a Wednesday evening show and it was great! Instead of the short games like their weekend performances, this version continues for the duration. It isn't as broken up. It is for the 18 and older crowd, a tad suggestive but not raunchy. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. On weekends, one night is family night and one... More

Small setting... Great that it uses audience participation. Good flow If you like " who's line is it anyway"--This is for you! Some shows are all ages but on Valentine's day it was was adult setting! Will definitely go back!

We stumbled on the Carolina improv as our waitress at the local diner was giving us recommendations. Her advice was not misplaced, the improv company and show was hilarious! Soo amazing we are attending another show tonight?

This small venue brings large laughs and is a perfect place to start your weekend. the Saturday show is family friendly while the Friday show may bring a few blushes, however not crude.

This will be one of your "Do Not Miss" destinations in South Carolina. Tucked away in the Myrtle Beach Mall is a fantastic company of quick-witted, funny actors who put on a performance you will not forget. You have a choice of family-friendly shows and shows aimed at an adult audience (adult themes but never vulgar or terribly offensive). This... More
