Carolina Improv Company is located INSIDE the Myrtle Beach Mall at the Uptown Theater with seating for approximately 75 people. It's a very intimate (and small) space and serves beer, wine and soda. Yes, it's a little unconventional but that's what makes it fun (and cheaper than other shows). Our seats are transportable cushioned chairs and sometimes we have to pull out folding chairs when people are begging to see us. The fire marshall lets us have up to 110 people in the space. Since the mall does not provide outdoor signage it could be tricky to find us. The mall anchor is Bass Pro Shop and Uptown is on that end of the mall. For the quickest path to the theater, guests should park at the back of the mall between Bass Pro Shop and Carmike Cinema. Hungry? There are several restaurants at the mall where you can eat before visiting us.

Don't let the cheap prcies fool you. This is well worth way more than they charge. I was a little scared being that they are located in the middle of a mall, and a small place but I was suprised. It was so much fun. The show was soooo funny. The 90 mins flew by and I wanted more more... More

I attended my first Improv (18+ show) April 10th, 2015 with 2 teens (17), my husband (44), and my in-laws (near 70). Although its setting in the mall is unusual, the performers are wonderful and my diverse group was very entertained. The show is as described "naughty, not nasty" and very funny. There are adult beverages available. Even though my... More

We attended the 'Whose Beach Is It Anyway' family friendly show last weekend. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. The cast is amazing, taking suggestions from the audience for each game or skit, so there is no prep of any kind. They just run with it and it's hilarious! It's a small place, probably holds about 40... More

I didn't know what to expect as to get to this event you park at the back of a practically abandoned mall. Within 3-4 minutes into the show it was obvious that this was a great gem of entertainment hidden at North Myrtle Beach. We went with our 2 kids (6 and 8) and I'm not sure who laughed more... More

The show is inside one of the malls. At first, I was like HMMMMMM. And, again, after we were seated in the small room, I was like HMMMMM. Once the show started, my wife and I had a great time. The first hour - then a break - and the second hour just flew by. The performers were great. We... More

We went to see "Whose Beach is it Anyway" (the family-friendly version), and it was probably the most enjoyable two hours of our whole weekend in Myrtle Beach. It can be hard to find good, clean entertainment when in a new city, and we were thankful to find this place. For less than seeing a movie in the theater, you... More

Very enjoyable Improv Club, the performers were very good - really enjoyed the show, cost was ridiculously reasonable. Our young teens got a kick out of it too! Recommend - be sure to ask if it's family friendly or adult - we travelled with kids but bet an Adult Only show would be really fun too.

Spending an evening with the Carolina Improv is assured to be entertaining. They are amateurs but have a lot of energy and are willing to risk being silly -- actually, they intend to be silly. It is fun, light and enjoyable.

The Carolina Improv at Uptown in the mall was just the ticket to wrap up our week at Myrtle Beach. Understand that this place is small (40 or 50 people) and the talent are semi-professionals BUT know they are good at improv and we laughed until our sides hurt. The show we attended was just like a famous TV show... More
