Carolina Improv Company is located INSIDE the Myrtle Beach Mall at the Uptown Theater with seating for approximately 75 people. It's a very intimate (and small) space and serves beer, wine and soda. Yes, it's a little unconventional but that's what makes it fun (and cheaper than other shows). Our seats are transportable cushioned chairs and sometimes we have to pull out folding chairs when people are begging to see us. The fire marshall lets us have up to 110 people in the space. Since the mall does not provide outdoor signage it could be tricky to find us. The mall anchor is Bass Pro Shop and Uptown is on that end of the mall. For the quickest path to the theater, guests should park at the back of the mall between Bass Pro Shop and Carmike Cinema. Hungry? There are several restaurants at the mall where you can eat before visiting us.

We checked Carolina Improv out on a Friday night as this is their "adult show". In hind sight, it probably could have been more adult. It was a bit tame (not that I needed it to be raunchy -- but I guess if you call it the "adult show" you expect it more so) It may have been considered "adult"... More

Thank you so much for your review and for choosing us for your entertainment. We totally agree with you about the signage. Unfortunately we have no power in this due to mall management. Only large stores like Belk and Bass Pro get any kind of outdoor signage. Thus we try to be very descriptive on our website, phone message and... More

We're locals now and have quickly come to the realization that this is the BEST way to spend an evening in Myrtle Beach. You never know quite what you are going to get, but it's always going to be fun and some nights are downright side-splitting like tonight was. The shows use different types of improv formats and no two... More

We are locals and thought we'd try something different. These guys and gals are great! Brought my 12yo to an "all ages" Christmas show and we had a ball. They do a nice mix of stand alone stuff and audience suggested laughs. The cost of admission is so cheap, I'd like to say these were "cheap laughs", but the laughs... More

We came to Myrtle Beach for a December getaway and wanted to do something different. I found the Carolina Improv on VisitMyrtleBeach.com and saw they had a show starring the "Carolina Girls". These 4 women were AMAZING!!! They nailed every detail of the suggestions we, the audience provided and made for an hour and a half of non-stop laughs! It... More

We saw the show on 11/28/15 and had the BEST time!! If you are a fan of "Who's line is it?" then you will really enjoy this performance. My friends and I laughed so hard that it just made our weekend in Myrtle Beach.

We visited the Carolina Improv the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The crowd was small; however, the performer gave it their all. They were extremely funny and were able to adapt to game suggestions from the audience. The performers are very talented. When you are available, go and support them ! ! !

We visited on 31 Oct, 2015 after seeing an event listing in the local paper. There were about 18 of us there & it was worth the price of admission. The group who performs are very talented and they feed off the audiences reactions. Bottle beer was $5. No food served there.

I have visited Uptown on a few different occasions with friends and family members. I am never disappointed. I laugh so hard that my face hurts the next day!!!! It is a small intimate theater that offers a wide variety of programs for all ages. What a great place for an evening out at a GREAT price.

Great atmosphere in this intimate venue. Performers are awesome only two hours of your evening. But. Every minute your laughing and clapping. And then you still have time to go out and get more nightlife.
