Owner description: Carolina Improv Company is located INSIDE the Myrtle Beach Mall at the Uptown Theater with seating for approximately 75 people. It's a very intimate (and small) space and serves beer, wine and soda. Yes, it's a little unconventional but that's what makes it fun (and cheaper than other shows). Our seats are transportable cushioned chairs and sometimes we have to pull out folding chairs when people are begging to see us. The fire marshall lets us have up to 110 people in the space. Since the mall does not provide outdoor signage it could be tricky to find us. The mall anchor is Bass Pro Shop and Uptown is on that end of the mall. For the quickest path to the theater, guests should park at the back of the mall between Bass Pro Shop and Carmike Cinema. Hungry? There are several restaurants at the mall where you can eat before visiting us.

This will be one of your "Do Not Miss" destinations in South Carolina. Tucked away in the Myrtle Beach Mall is a fantastic company of quick-witted, funny actors who put on a performance you will not forget. You have a choice of family-friendly shows and shows aimed at an adult audience (adult themes but never vulgar or terribly offensive). This... More

I attended last night's show, "Who's Beach is it Anyway?" and enjoyed all of the performances. However, the company's website described the show as pertaining to things about Myrtle Beach. Sadly, there was no content relating to Myrtle Beach at all. I would have loved to have heard jokes about the bike rallies or tourist traffic. Since improv shows are... More

This was a great night out for us after the holidays being so hectic. The venue is small, and so was the crowd but it was the week after new years...I suspect that it fills up quickly during the busy season. The hostess/mc was wonderful and good at getting audience participation. We'll definitely go back! Also, we weren't sure what... More

I've been vacationing in Myrtle beach for over 30yrs and just happen to come across this place. It was a excellent night filled with laughter and fun! We brought the entire family from my 5&7 yr old girls to my parents in their late sixties. We ALL loved it! They even included the girls names in the show to continue... More

I've been to the improv several times and highly recommended it if you're in town and want to get your laugh on. Great improve actors, great storylines, great audience involvement. Well worth the small price ($14) and time (90 min). Try it you'll love it.

We went to a holiday themed show, Whose Holiday Is It Anyway? We brought 2 grandparents and 2 pre-teens. The show was great fun, very funny, really entertaining. We definitely will go again. A+.

The Carolina Improv is a must see. We were able to buy tickets in the last minute at the door, and thank goodness we were able to. We saw "Whose Night Out Is It Anyway?" It was an awesome show! I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. The venue was small but the audience participation was large.... More

This was my second time at Carolina Improv and it has always been a great time. If you like who's line is it anyway, you will love this show. If you have never seen improv, this is a perfect place to go for your first time. The performers are funny, energetic and fun to watch. Although the venue is in... More

We have been here twice now and will keep coming back every time we go to the beach. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and unbelievably funny. It is unbelievable how they play off each other and the audience and make it look so easy! The first time we went they called my daughter up on to the stage and she... More
