We really enjoyed walking along the boardwalk - people watching, shopping, and looking out over the surf. We went during the day and at night and enjoyed both. The evening crowds are huge with a bustling nightlife. The kids spent a mint in the arcade - and had a blast playing the old pinball baseball games. Whenever I think of... More

We were headed to the movies and happened upon the Grand Strand. It was really cool. There were rides, restaurants and overall a nice place to stop. Have money ready for rides and eats, the rides were a little pricey, but okay. I'm not sure if I would make a special trip to go there. Definitely a family place.

Good for wandering seniors. Lots of shops, snack bars, restaurants to stroll through or hook up with the beach. Reminded us of Atlantic City boardwalk (minus casinos) Great place to get your exercise.

Well I havent been to the beach in over 8 years.. In that time they removed the one thing that anyone over 15 years of age will probably ever remember about myrtle beach. My greatest memorys happened riding the log flumes with my papa and eating frozen lemonades with my grandma. Riding the roller coaster with my sister and watching... More

The Grand Strand is made up of many beach communities along the ocean shore. There surely is something for everyone. The beaches are so long, they seem endless. Also, no matter what your favorite thing to do on vacation is, you will be able to find that interest. You can go the inexpensive route and go to the beaches and... More

This is a nice little walk. Not too busy if you come at the right time. Lots of fun things to see and do and some great souvenirs to buy/look at at the gay dolphin. Also, it's just steps to the beach so if you get tired of the boardwalk you can just walk out to the ocean.

We stayed at the diplomat and walked everywhere. Went to peaches and the bowery and rode the skywheel. Going back June 2014 with the kids can't wait...

We were staying in Myrtle Beach, one of many small and quaint beach towns along the Grand Strand (which we heard referred to as Redneck Riviera). Beach life is great to experience and great people watching opportunities. Everyone reduced to their childhood selves playing in the surf. The water was about 70 so I didn't get in, although many did.... More

always enjoy the shops, the vendors and all the different people. Sky wheel is awesome. Entertaining even in the slow days.
