We loved the combination of activities (garden, museum, zoo, butterfly center, bronze sculptures, etc. you can do there and each pass is valid for 7 days so no need to rush.

Loved the tour of the Huntington Beach Mansion, my daughter is 17 years old and she was just so fascinated by the tour, A must take if you go there.

We visited the park for 1/2 a day. It's a very clean and well cared for park. We did not stay but drove through the camp ground. Most sited were either full shade or partial shade. Sights were not right up on each other either which is nice. I would camp here. We attended two programs, Alligator and Feeding Frenzy.... More

Great the way this natural spot survives in the midst of a good bit of development. Unspoiled beach and some beautiful marshes. I like it best in the spring and fall.

Really enjoyed our first visit here! Stayed at the campground for a week. Easy walk to the ocean, nice location, very friendly staff at the park office and especially at the gate. Our puppy enjoyed her doggie biscuit from the guy at the gate! Quiet place to relax! Really close to town and restaurants. Clean bathhouses! Can't wait to visit... More

Staying at the Ellington we got a free pass and used it like crazy. So much better than a public beach

This park is huge and with our Myrtle Beach State Park campground stay, we could also visit here free as well. Many activities, trails and of course the beach. Plan on spending the whole day to enjoy this wonderful park.

This is in a state park so you have to pay to get in, but if you are wondering, it is totally worth it. The park has preserved the natural environment of the coastline so you go across a marsh area (birding and alligator sightings) before you get to the dunes and beyond that the beach proper. There are restrooms... More

Really nice beach with plenty of amenities (bathrooms/changing rooms/showers/snack bar/picnic tables,etc.). But the big draw for us is that we can bring our beloved Labradoodle! Dogs are welcomed on the south end of the beach and should be kept on a leash, but no one seems terribly uptight about the latter requirement. Highly recommend.
