We prefer quieter beaches, and this fit the bill. Big, wide sand with a real gentle slope means less wave action, so probably not great for surfing. But, if you don't like crowds, you can just walk a few hundred yards south and be as alone as you like, at least in September. I fished and didn't catch anything, but... More

A must see and visit !!! This beach was so clean and beautiful!! The water was clear, I was suprised at how clear the water was made me think of the gulf side !! We walked for couple of hours played in the water and met some very nice people!!! Worth the time and fee to get in!!

This park is amazing! The beach view was so serene and beautiful! All you could see was ocean in one direction and sand/grassland in the other! So amazing! Nobody else was on the beach when we first got there, it was unreal! We also got to see several alligators, crabs, lizards, all kinds of birds, and more! We didn't get... More

Rented bikes from Cyclopedia (they delivered them to the park for free) and road around the roads at Huntington Beach State Park and along the beach. Lots of fun. Beautiful beach. It was a blast riding bikes on the beach and the path atop the breakwater wall. Saw lots of birds and 4 alligators. Great afternoon. Plan to return to... More

Easy park to navigate through. Beautiful birds and we saw an alligator. The camping area was interesting with small tents up to large RVs. This showed us all were welcome to be there.

A small entry fee,for a great day. Changing and bathroom facilities are good, and parking was easy. A huge stretch of beach and shallow water. We had a simple relaxing day and would love to return again in the future.

Learning about Archer & Anna Huntington and visiting their winter home, Atalaya, was the highlight of our time at Huntington Beach State Park. As we started our visit to Atalaya, a young girl was leaving with her family and her off-hand comment to us was: "Awesome!" She was correct! It was awesome. The Huntingtons left a wonderful legacy. The beach... More

The park was clean and beautiful. Saw the home and took the walk looking for gators. then visited the northern side of the park, beach was empty. Fished from the surf and swam.

This is my second review of Huntington State Park but I felt I needed to update as this time I rented a bicycle. Renting a bicycle is definitely the best way to see Huntington State Park. We hired bikes from Cyclopedia and cycled from the store to the park. The bike track goes the whole way from the store to... More
