Every time we go to Myrtle Beach for my husband to play golf, I visit HBSP. Entering the park, cross the causeway and park in the lot to the right. Walk back across the causeway and see many kinds of birds and an alligator or two. On returning to your car, continue on to the right and you'll come to... More

Quiet, nice, nature, perfect spot for walking and dogs to play in. Camping area appeared beautiful. We would return. If we come to area with our trailer next time, would stay in campgrounds....

The resort we were staying at recommended us taking a drive down here. It was beautiful (as you may have guessed by the title of my review!). We saw alligators, various species of birds, and then we found the beach. It was clean, the water was not very rough, and not a lot of people. Seems to be a hidden... More

Hunting Beach has very good beach access and easy walking on the North beach area. Very clean and good facilities. The big deal for me is the birds! At the entry to the park the road goes splits between salt water and fresh water. hence you get the best of both worlds to water foul and alligators.

Huntington Beach State Park is a beautiful park that shows the low-country beauty of the area. Bike/walking trails along the Marsh are breathtaking. Beach area is clean and beautiful. Restrooms are clean.

Loved the beach as well as the guided tour of the castle located near the beach. Our guide was great. The tour cost $2.00 and last about 45 minutes.Lot's of birds can be found as you drive into the park. My family and I enjoyed our visit.

This is one of the many state Parks we have camped at that we absolutely enjoy. We have a selection of various campsites and we choose the tree and wooded areas for complete privacy as we have 2 small dogs . We have full camper hook-ups. It is always clean and well mowed and maintained. The forest rangers make frequent... More

Pay a small admission price (good for the entire day!) and drive along the man-made salt marsh. Park and walk it if you like, to see hundreds of birds, some alligators, and at low tide, thousands of tiny crabs :) Then get your car and go on to the gift shop, or the picnic tables and grills, or the pristine,... Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon watching Osprey hunt, egrets, herons, storks and ibis's wading. Alligators basking and at the time we were there, how the salt marsh changes at high tide.

Twenty-six mile bike-way!!! Yay, that's what we're going to do! Pack up the bikes, drive south, pay entry fee, find trailhead. Oops, where's the trail? An employee told us the bike path is a feature they want to add...in the future...when funds become available...someday... However, we could ride from the park for several miles along Highway 17--no, thanks. OK, we're... More
