Blackmoor is a dog leg lay up course. Greens covered in sand, hand watering greens slowed play down, and greens still rock hard. I won't be playing here again. Nice clubhouse though. Better course too play.

This course is rated as an 8.6 out of 10 for the area so I rolled the dice and booked two rounds. I have played quite a few courses at Myrtle Beach and I am not saying that my rating of Excellent should undermine the work of Golf Digest. Those courses charge top dollar. Blackmoor is an absolute bargain. Everybody... More

Really liked the layout. Very good shape and provides for many risk / reward or the ability to play safe. Really liked the "female player friendly" tees which made it fun for my wife.

This is a Gary Player course, tree lined fairways and excellent greens. Challenging, will be penalized if off fairway, but can recover. Not penal. Definitely worth the trip south to play it. Golf course staff very helpful, and speed of play was about right - 4.5 hours for 18 holes. Highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful course which is a little off the beaten path. There are so many courses to choose from and this one is excellent. Staff was wonderful. Course was very challenging for someone who does not play all that often. Some very tough holes, but overall had a great day with my son.

My group played a 2013 pre-Golf.com World Amateur practice round at Blackmoor. The staff was very friendly. Service in the grill was a little slow and I guess I iritated the lady working there because I could see her in the back and I rang the bell 3 times. I was trying to not take too long at the turn.... I live on the golf course. Very nice well maintained course - woman friendly and well designed. Located on what was Longwood Plantation in the early 1800's, so there's history here too.

After doing lots of research on various golf courses in Myrtle Beach, this course was chosen. It did not live up to expectations. The good: the picturesque location and course layout as well as the bag handler. The bad: the course was extremely wet, the starter was unprofessional, there were not hydration stations readily available. In the effort to hurry... More

My friend chose the course , fair price ($40). Long game because of a lot of people were playing. No ranger around to hurry people up or let people play through. Very slow play. Nice course, just crowded.
