This is our third year on vacation to play golf at the Blackmoor. The condition of the course has deteriorated since our visit last October. the greens were stressed and "well used" lots of old divots. The Fairways were hard, so if you usually take a divot, this is not the place for you. Also play was slow. The staff... More

Very nice golf course and quaint clubhouse. The greens rolled true and were well maintained along with the whole course. The Marshal and Starter was fantastic. The par threes were fun. The challenging part for a first timer was those doglegs and trying to play them properly (almost a guessing game a couple of holes with a couple of blind... More

The course seems like a nice layout, and is definitely friendly for higher handicap golfers, as it is short. The course was extremely wet from many days of rain, and so it was cart paths only. It took 5 and a half hours to play as a result. Would like to play it again some day when the course is... More

Got paired up with a twosome (husband & wife) as a solo. Very nice couple! From Bag Drop personnel to Clubhouse to Starter, overall Great Experience! All were friendly, plus Starter's opening conversation about the course was awesome!

The course has many dog legs to the right so if one plays a fade or slice they will enjoy it even more.

The best course of the 5 we played. The course was in great shape and it does not beat you up like some of the higher end courses. Friendly Staff, Bill the started was very helpful. a very enjoyable round.

The golf course is great. The staff and club house are welcoming and well equipped. Some of the most challenging golf I've played in the area. When the course gets wet it tends to stay wet in some areas. Had a great time playing there. Highly recommend.

Played Blackmoor last week with our group of 8 golfers on our annual golf trip. We had played it once several years ago and wanted to go back. They have some greens that are in marginal shape but they all putted well. Was surprised that no one we encountered before we teed off bothered to tell us that the 6th... More

Staff were extremely friendly and made you feel welcome. I played this course about 15 years ago and I remember them being somewhat stuffy at the time. Course itself was in good shape, the fairways were relatively lush and the greens were nice too. The a few of the bunkers need to be redefined and there are a bunch of... More

The most beautiful and interesting golf course that I have played on the Grand Strand to date. Friendly staff. Well maintained grounds. I you haven't played this course before it helps to play with someone who has, because their are some blind holes where you might hit a good shot only to find yourself in trouble.
