It was cool the day we visited with a lot of wind. The boardwalk is beautiful. I am sure in warmer temps there are probably a lot of birds and activity. Worth a stop to stretch the legs and look at the marsh and shrimp boats.

I took my daughter there for the first time. It was such a pretty walk along the boardwalk seeing the shrimp boats and also there's a big pelican made out of recycled garbage from the ocean. We saw lots of birds Beautiful peaceful place

A wonderful area with a well kept boardwalk that takes you into the marshy areas of the creek ending with a views toward downtown Historic Charleston as well as towards the Atlantic. Being from the land locked Midwest, it was a delight to see the docked shrimp boats and enjoy the restaurant offerings on either side of the creek.

Great place to stop for a quick walk. Wonderful being in the marsh and checking out the boats at Shem Creek.

It’s a beautiful place, from bay to boardwalk a nice walk along Shem Creek is definitely recommended! Nature was purely one of my favorites. If you are a photographer like me, you won’t forget your DSLR!

If you live in Mt. Pleasant and haven't been here, you are missing a rare treat. The walkway passes over oyster beds, maybe missing pirates, maybe a sunken boat or two....who knows. It's free...go for it!!!

One of those snow globe moments. Easy parking and access to broad walk . Photo ops from a parade of shrimp boats, sunsets, birds and nature to returning kayakers. Enjoy nature all around you. Makes you fill alive and part of a greater event. Water taxis available at end for travel to Charleston. Great spot for photos of Charleston from... More

Walk along the boardwalk that traverses the marsh along Shem Creek. Leave busy Coleman Blvd behind and walk leisurely over the tidal pools, look below and watch minnows, snails, crabs in the estuary. Walk to the end overlooking Charleston Harbor, see the distant church spires of the beloved city. You can even take an alternative mode of transportation from here: Climb... More

Shem Creek Park sits on Shem Creek, probably one of the best places to get seafood in the greater Charleston area. The park consists of a boardwalk that walks well past most of the shrimp boats docked alongside to allow the visitor some of the best views to be had in this area - known for its views. Don't be...
