Several restaurants and bars. Beautiful area. Be sure to walk all the way out on the boardwalk. Read all the postings along the way; they are very interesting and informative. Look down into the water to find various marine life. Would be nice to vies the sunset here!

This was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise -- more than we anticipated. There are a number of routes to follow in the park. We walked to Lock #5 (there is an interpretive sign near the lock). This was a good starting point for the hike. We continued south along the tow path, by the side of the canal. On this wide... More

Several restaurants on Shem Creek - best crab cakes at Red's Icehouse. Dinner at R&B's very good, beautiful water view seats. Most restaurants in this area are casual.

Long boardwalk past moored shrimp boats plus fishing spots. Variety of restaurants with outside dining on the water available with a large choice of menus. Does get crowded on week ends

Always a great spot to take a late afternoon stroll - a bit of nature in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Great to see the shrimp boats come in in the afternoon and the other boats, kayaks, and paddle boards going up and down the creek.

Nice break away from the city. Enjoyed the nature; cool breeze; watching the casual fishermen/crabber try their luck. Utterly relaxing when not crowded.

If you're looking for a Charleston bar/pub type noisy atmosphere, this is the place for you. We visited on a Saturday around 6pm. Our family of 6 waited about 30 min for seating. The sand gnats outside bout ate us up as we waited, but we fanned them off successfully without too many bites. Friendly staff, nothing fancy, so don't... More

Great food, live bands, awesome sunset. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards. The local dolphins will come by the docks, the kids love seeing them.
