Nature at its best!!

A great way to enjoy a quiet walk and yet so close to the Shem Creek restaurants! Just off Coleman Blvd. and the old Village of Mt. Pleasant.

Just happen to spot this park while driving by. It is a nice long board walk along the marsh. The board walk itself is in really good shape. They were replacing a few boards while we were there. We were there when the tide was out. In the moist area along the walk a lot of little crabs were out... More

Shem creek is a great place to go for a short walk. The boardwalk is well maintained, and though the park is not very big there is plenty of gorgeous scenery. It is particularly beautiful at sunset, and you can often see dolphins that swim up into the creek.

Nice place to take a walk and clear your head. Learn about shrimping along the way. Take alook at the shrimp boats docked in the river.

Really pleasant. Went there for a morning jog, and saw lots of wildlife. Friendly people jogging there also.

We were actually on our way to a different place and saw this one and stopped in. There are a few restaurants and bars, almost like a little Boardwalk. They also have somewhat of a marsh walk. You can go fishing on the docks or just watch others and watch the boats come in and out. Pretty relaxing.

The Shem Creek Park boardwalk goes out along the creek and over the marshes. From there, you can see the famous bridge, downtown Charleston, shrimping boats, and tons of wildlife. This has quickly become a favorite place for an afternoon walk. It is open from early morning to midnight, so you can enjoy it any time of day.

Its a nice walk to see the shrimp boats and Shem Creek. Perfect spot for a sunset. Easy parking. I did have to explain to the kids that it was a family park...no swings, slides or monkey bars.
