This was a fun tour filled with history and beautiful sights! I'd been to Charleston many times, and wanted to do something a little different this trip, and man was this a good choice! I had no idea the Old Village had so much history! I'm also a huge fan of the movie The Notebook, and Legare showed us a... More

My wife was skeptical at first about riding a Segway but within a minute she got the hang of it and was skooting around at full speed. We had a great tour of the Old Village by a very knowledgeable tour guide the took us through all the history of the historical sites. It was a fun hour and a... More

Looking for a fun activity with family or couples? This tour on your own Segway will really inspire you. It's incredibly easy to learn, only 10 minutes and you are pro! Expert instructors and guides will first train you and off you go to explore the quiet and quaint neighborhoods of Old Town Mt Pleasant. This is a favorite for... More

Legare was our tour guide which includes a thorough training session prior. Of our 3 different Segway experiences, his training was the best, as it gave options for situations & their particular advantages. He asked immediately if we enjoyed history, we said YES. He is a long term local (generations) & an architect by training, so his point of view... More

Legare Porcher was full of a lot of knowledge, but way too much talking and not enough of a tour of the city. I've done other segway tours and for the money it was way over priced for the amount of sightseeing that was given.

It's been almost 30 years since I have visited Charleston and if I had this tour before I would have never moved away. Lagare' made the Segway training easy, understandable and fun. Don't hesitate for a moment that you won't be able to use a Segway because it's so simple and fun! The tour was fascinating and he really knows... More

We decided to book this tour last-minute. We called at lunchtime for that afternoon and were told that although the afternoon tour was available the radar showed rain, so we booked for the next morning. When we called there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but by the time 4:00 rolled around it had begun to pour. We were the... More

Great way to spend a morning! Awesome guide, Legare Porcher, patient and very knowledgeable about the local history! 30 minutes of lessons and then off we segwayed through Old town Mt. Pleasant for an hour and a half. Flat, easily navigable terrain. Ages 76 and 66, and we had no problems at all.

My husband, 15 year old son, and I spent one full day in Charleston and wanted to see as much as we could in that time. One of the things on our list was this segway tour. It was kind of an afterthought ... something we tacked onto the very end of our day, and let me say we were... More

We were first time Segway riders and it was SO much fun! The guide was very informative on the usage of the Segway, alleviating any doubt as a first timer. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as his personal family has been in the area since the 16th century. It is clear he is passionate about the city and loves... More
