So I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try this paddle boarding thing! I'm so glad I did. You go all over Shem Creek and you can take your time and enjoy yourself. At 1st was hard to get my balance but once I got the hang of it there was no stopping! It was fun but... More

I had no idea we would be paddling out to Crab Bank rookery in Charleston harbor. I felt like I was in a PBS nature show with literally hundreds of birds flying and landing around us. It was amazing. Who knew that baby pelicans were so adorable? On the way back to Shem Creek, we paddled alongside dolphins as they... More

This was my first trip to Charleston to visit a friend. To avoid overcrowded beaches we decided to go kayaking at Shem Creek. We called in the morning to reserve kayaks for the afternoon. We didn't need to do this, there was more than enough kayaks when we arrived, but we just wanted to be safe. We noticed there was... More

This is a great option for a quick little tour of Shem creek. You don't venture very far due to the time restraints of the tour. I would recommend renting the boats on your own if you have kayak before. If you are new, the tour is a great way to be adventurous

We took the Wambaw swamp 2 hour kayaking tour with Will as our guide and had a phenomenal time! The swamp is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! The cypress trees, some as old as 1600-1800 years, were so cool. We saw about 10 alligators, so be prepared! It was awesome. Also saw turtles, goldfinches, and egrets. Will... More

This was my first Kayaking experience in Charleston. I went with a group and the folks at Nature Adventures Kayak were great. Lots of folks of all ages and skill levels were out enjoying the water in Kayaks, boats, and SUPs. Highly recommended for outdoor exercise. No prior experience needed. There are a couple of eateries and a hotel in... More

Yesterday I went kayaking for the first time with family members. One of our party was an experienced kayaker, but three of us were fairly new and one did paddleboard for the first time. The staff at NAO were very friendly and helpful, and made sure we knew what we were doing before we left land. Call ahead to reserve... More

My three teenage children and I went on a three hour salt water kayaking tour with the most delightful guide, Clark. He first took us into salt water marshes after which we went out into the bay. We saw so many different kinds of birds, and were lucky enough to see a dolphin (it was cold and they don't always... More

What an awesome experience. Tillman took us on a beautifully narrated trip through the swamp. It was peaceful while also exciting (great stories, great wildlife). I would do it again in second. Thanks Tillman!

This was an amazing vacation... I was uncertain as to what to expect considering I was not familiar with the company or knew anyone going on this trip (signed up online & I live 800+ miles away). The communication via emails prior to the trip where very well informing & eased any concerns. The professionalism, friendliness & well planned daily... More
