Description: Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers...
Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

What do you do with empty space under a massive bridge? Build a kids playground of course. And while your kids are playing at the playground, have yourself a nice walk or run over the Arthur Ravenal, Jr. bridge.

What a unique place to put a park! Nearly under the Arthur Ravenel bridge, this park is a nice place to view the bay and watch the boats on the water. It has a loooong pier where you can fish or just sit and enjoy the view. There are some swinging benches that are a nice touch. There's a tackle... More

Came across this by place chance and really enjoyed it. Though the weather wasn't good, it was still a pretty spot, with different areas to explore. It would be even better in sunshine, as there are plenty of spots to sit and take in the views. The bird life is what struck me, the number of different calls, and the... More

The park is beautiful, especially at night. When I visit Mt. Pleasant we always take a walk through the park and down the pier after dinner. If only the bugs didn't walk with us! The playground is wonderful for small and big kids alike. It's right under the bridge and the sounds of cars passing overhead can be a little... More

There is a great section for the kids to play. Its separated into lil ones and bigger ones. Very cool equipment. Its also a great venue for concerts and firework shows. Just take your blanket or chair and bug spray in the summer.

I was suprised to learn that you can have an event here and that the pier is the longest in the state! I've lived here for over a year and this was the first time I had ever been here. They also have a tackle shop, playground for children, kayak area. The Cooper River Meeting Room is apparently a rare... More
