Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center. « less

A great place to spend the day and take the kids. The scenery is breath taking and the air craft carrier and destroyer are a must see.

The town of Mount Pleasant is known for its class and charm. I should not have expected anything less when I visited the water park. It’s layout is easy to move around in, it’s very clean and offers a relaxing atmosphere for fishermen, romantic walks or just sitting in a swing watching the river. I understand they have movies on... More

Next to the Ravenel Bridge and the Mt. Pleasant Visitor's Center, this park is well-kept and is a great place to see and take photos of attractions like the bridge, the Yorktown, and ships arriving and leaving from the port in Charleston. There's also a playground, gift shop, and pier at the park.

With the bridge lit up at night, this is a perfect place to take a walk. The peer is open for fishing until 11pm. There is an ice cream/gift shop, play area for kids, grassy area to relax under the stars, and swings to enjoy the view of the water. It's definitely worth taking some time to see.

We happen by this entirely by chance, and what a great place to stop. Got some interesting views of both Charleston as well as Patriots Point where the Yorktown is on display. Wether for just a walk for the view or fishing ($8 for the day) this is worth a stop during your time in Charleston.

This is by the visitor's center. Great for walking/jogging. There were lots of people fishing off the pier.
