Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center. « less

This is by the visitor's center. Great for walking/jogging. There were lots of people fishing off the pier.

Clean, well maintained with a great playground. Fishing equipment is available for rent and I witnessed an angler catch a 30 pound redfish from the pier.

This is a stellar park! Love the gift shop and love to go walk the pier often. Grab a smoothie on a hot day and go for a swing. It's got a wonderful view of the bridge from below and the water and Yorktown view is fab!!

Cleanest bathrooms ever. Helpful staff that offer discount tickets for the USS Yorktown. Beautiful views and excellent location. It is recommended that you stop here first before going to the park or the ships.

We had family meeting up in Charleston for a wedding & tried to find a place on the beach where we could all meet up & share a picnic. This place, though not on the beach, was perfect. It was still on the harbor so you could enjoy the breeze off the water and see ships going back and forth.... More
