Description: Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers...
Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

Was located next to the visitor center with a pier to see and nice shaded play area for the kids and picnic areas around. Take lots of water with you . And maybe an umbrella if walking the pier during the heat of the day. Was not expecting a stone pier , very nce and clean area.

I love the concerts here but I also love just going here to hang out. The ocean breezes and beautiful lawns make it an amazing family park. Everything is clean and well taken care of. Parking is very accessible to the park. The breeze makes it tolerable even on a sizzling day and trust me Charleston has been sizzling this... More

It had a beautiful view of the Cooper River and new bridge. The pier is built of concrete. It is nice and wide and clean. It has a nice gift shop and snack bar. The covered swings and sitting areas are a nice touch.

This was a special treat and getaway from the heat. There was a nice breeze out on the pier and the sunset was beautiful. The playground was very nice and the Pier Gift shop was nice also. We enjoyed swinging in the swings and enjoying the beauty of the harbor.

The Sweetgrass Culture Center was really neat-- the woman making baskets told us lots about it & her family history with it. She has a basket in the Smithsonian! It is a neat area to stroll & enjoy. We did not end up going out on the pier as it was super hot that day, but the basket center was... More

This is a wonderful place to visit after dinner...the lights of Charleston Harbor are beautiful...a romantic quiet stroll out to the end of the pier...we enjoyed the swings and the perspective underneath the bridge is amazing. Don't miss this Charleston experience!

What a neat playground at this park. Not to mention the pier for fishing, walking and swinging. Lovely porch style swings on the pier, I could sit here for hours and watch the boats go by.

If you are travelling to Charleston, SC, the waterfront park is an absolute must-see. Located directly on the beautiful harbor of Charleston, SC, the park offers a rest for boat & foot travellers, such as plentiful benches, swings, and water fountains. A visitor can relax on a porch swing on the pier while watching the sailboats racing on any particular... More

Very clean pier, clean restrooms love how they have an area to cut your bait to maintain the cleanness of the pier, plenty of seating and loved the swings with the shades for the elderly people.
