Description: Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers...
Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

Great place to relax and enjoy the harbor view especially at sunset. Loved the swings on the pier. Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Pavilion was very interesting.

We stopped by the park during our visit to Charleston. It was nice to be able to walk out and get a view of the water and bridge. It would be even better if you liked to fish!

This park is located right under the Arthur Ravenel bridge that connects Charleston with Mount Pleasant. We came here to see the Blessing of the Fleet which is an event where shrimp trawlers pass under the bridge and are blessed during a ceremony. This event fills the beautiful park with thousand of people. There are several events throughout the year... More

We stumbled upon this beautiful park and waterfront pier on our recent trip to Charleston. It is a lovely place to walk and get super pictures of the Charleston skyline. There are fisherman who are friendly and some quite experienced. The staff at the park is helpful in their knowledge of the construction and maintenance of the Ravenal Bridge and... More

We always visit this park when we are in town, we have seen it grow from almost nothing to the nicest park in the area. The fishing and walking pier is perfect, the playground is very cool for our kids, there is always a police prescence close by so you feel safe. The salt air blowing off the Charleston Bay... More

This was a short stroll from our hotel. It is very peaceful and quiet. Perfect for an after dinner destination. Well patrolled, well lit, even a small concession shop oven until 8pm.

I live in Mt Pleasant and come here often for a nice sunset walk on the pier. Sunset attracts quite a few photographers as this spot offers a stunning view. There is a great kidde play area, nice walkways all around, a gift shop area with a cafe and fishing off of the pier. There is also a visitors center... More

Asia local, this is my favorite park. Great music and numerous events throughout the year. Fishing off the pier can be interesting, especially if you catch one. Grest for the family.
