Owner description: Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

This was a nice tour. They showed us the historical homes on the waterfront and where they put their cannons

This is a great stop to see so many things in one area. You can see the bridge, the fishing pier, the war memorial, and a nice walking park for the kids.

This was a great place to relax and take some really great pictures. It was walking distance to the beach. Definitely visit this place if you're here in Charleston. We hadn't made it here in our past trips, but this will become a place that we must visit when we return.

This is a beautiful park. Most outdoor activities are available to the public. You can fish and enjoy nature all around you. You can people watch, play with the kids and see some really nice shore birds. I spotted an egret a blue heron and a sandpiper without really trying too hard. The whole area is pristine. Not many places... More

This place was sooo nice. Clean and well maintained. Flowers were still blooming even in October. Not a piece on anything on the ground and no bird poop anywhere. Hubby and I had a nice romantic walk to the end of the pier and say dolphins about 20 feet away. They have a monument for the soldiers from the area... More

This is our second time to Charleston, stayed in Mt Pl, at the HI Express, found this hidden GEM, wonderful, beautiful relaxing, perfect for families to picnic, and relax all for free, and those views of the harbor are breathtaking !! Next time we will bring our fishing poles to fish off the pier. What a fantastic idea to do... More

Having spent a whole day on a bus we were happy to arrive at our destination. Nice sized room but no fridge which was a bummer as we were too tired to get a taxi into Charleston. Good supermarket where you can get super, healthy salads for $12 close by.

Great place for a nice walk, stroll, picnic, play with the kids. It's even used for wedding, dances, all kind of events. Right on Charleston Harbor, you can't beat the view. You can fish off the pier or sit and watch the boats or sun set. I live in Mt. Pleasant, and I always take advantage of this area.

A great place to spend the day and take the kids. The scenery is breath taking and the air craft carrier and destroyer are a must see.
