This should be the most wonderful course in Charleston. Its layout is great, well fantastic and makes the most of a suburb location. The course conditions can best be described as poor. Some fairways seemed like they had been a little too loong between mows and the greens were a spongy slow poverty stricken municipal style. The staff were disinterested... More

A great place to play with wonderful views. If you're not a really good golfer, make sure you have pleanty of balls with you as you are certainly going to lose some. If you're not on the fairway, you're in the drink or the swamp, etc.

I have played Charleston national over 20 times in the past 10 years. The course is usually in great shape. Unique layout with plenty of mickey mouse holes. After today, I will not be returning to this course. Played 3 weeks ago on the weekend using the Charleston Tee Times book ($160 to play 14 courses once for just the... More

At least half the have water or marsh on this very wide open course. The greens are fairly fast and challenging. Its a Rees Jones design and very established. Birding was great with a colony of more than a dozen Great Egrets between the 2nd and 3rd holes. The clubhouse, food and drinks are sub par, and that's the reason... More

One of my favorite places to play. It is quiet, relaxing, awesome views, and challenging from the back tees.

A great golf course design with slightly above average maintenance. But if you're going to play more than just a few times, it's a great deal to join the VIP club (approx. $100) and get great discounts for the whole year.

A challenging test of golf with spectacular marsh views. Lots of forced carries off the tee but the views were incredible and the golf course staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Definitely worth your time for a round while in the Charleston area.

From the bag drop to the pro, and absolute lack of marshaling, this potentially nice course with great design and beautiful views is not worth the $63.00 or the 5 1/2 hours the 18 holes took. This was shown by the clear apathy of its employees and the condition of the course.

This was a well kept course that had a lot of variety in play. - Many of the holes crossed Marshes to make more for scenic play. - the price of $63 seemed quite reasonable.
