I played the Dunes West Golf and River Club outside of Charleston, South Carolina, on 12/3/15 while driving from Clearwater to Myrtle Beach. The par 72 semi-private course is located in a housing community a few miles northeast of Charleston off Routes 41 and 17 east of Charleston. The course was relatively easy to find. The course is advertised as... More

Great course. True Southern Charm. The entrance to the club house with the Grand Oaks and the moss growing. Truly a great course in a great place. I have seen fox, deer, and yes, even alligator on the course. Come early and take a cart out to the practice range. Make sure to schedule a T time...

I've lived in Mount Pleasant, SC for ( years now and have never been more disappointed than I was today with the quality of the putting surfaces. To be charging a 9 hole rate of $59 is absurd for that quality of a golf course. If this course wants to be taken seriously in the affluent Mount Pleasant community it... More

All I can say is that I will not be playing their again anytime soon. Pace of play was aweful. Took us over 4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. It was hit one shot then wait. Could not get any momentum going. Rangers flat blew it !!!!

Dunes West is a solid course. However, the weekend price of $96 is a little over priced. Luckily I found a 20 percent off coupon at our resort downtown. The fairways and greens are in good shape. The course has plenty of room to hit the ball and is not overly long. Most greens however are relatively small. There are... More

First time here and would play again and highly recommend. Staff is great, course was pretty good for the off season. Challenging but very fun design. Tee to green was in excellent shape! Great value and experience overall.

A great venue with wide open fairways on most holes but with challenging approach shots to many of the greens with water in play on many holes.

I have played Dunes West for 17 years when vacationing in the area. The drive leading to the clubhouse is stunning with the canopy of oaks. The course is a fun course to play and the staff is always friendly. Do yourself a favor and take a cart during the heat of the summer.
