this one more like a muni than cougar or ocean...or even Seabrook Island's two courses.....beachwalkers all over the place, bird watchers walking up the fairway---course is in average condition, the layout is OK...its not a bad place to play, but its nowhere near quiet and peaceful.

I hadn't played Turtle for 5-6 years and I had remembered it not being one of my favorites (Nicholas courses and I haven't always agreed). However, I just played it again and truly had a great experience (maybe it reflects that my score was the best of the week). The grasses used at the various courses on Kiawah can differ... More

They had aerated two weeks prior but still good conditions. The three ocean holes on the back nine are fun but we didn’t find the remainder of the layout as interesting as Cougar Point. Clubhouse was a bit dark. Paid $105/person in the afternoon.

The pulled pork bbq is quite good. We're from Kansas City and thought it might not be up to our standards, and were pleasantly surprised.

While Turtle Point is not the Ocean Course, for a far lesser price you get a good view of the ocean on three of their holes. It's also a bit friendlier and more forgiving to less capable golfers like myself, although there are still plenty of places on the course that challenge. Perhaps one of its greatest assets is that... More

Absolutely love living there. This is my 11th year going to Kiawah and I loved it. Not many on golf course. Very close to beach. Beware of golfers and balls hitting the window. Oh yeah my parents seen an alligator at the lagoon. And we also seen 3 deers around 9 in the backyard.

this is a Nicolaus design. it was a little resorty and we saw a lot of beach goers and lots of condos and homes on this course.

Nice area to walk around and spent time looking at alligators in the pond....there was a 10 foot one in this one.

beautifully manicured fairways and greens. If you're planning on playing Kiawah, definitely play Turtle Point. If the clubhouse is an excellent bbq restaurant, Cherrywood BBQ (pricey but excellent). Pulled pork with 1 side is $20...not your average bbq joint

My son and I played during spring break. The price tag was high ($225 for me and half that for a junior) since we were not staying in a resort-owned property. The course was in great shape, and every hole had an interesting feature, including 3 ocean holes. The course is fair and not punishing from the Nicklaus tees (6500... More
