Greens fee of $250+ isn't cheap, but this course is worth it. I strongly suggest walking (course allows carts after noon). They have water every 3 holes and walking the course through the dunes is breathtaking. Caddies are top notch and a joy to talk with in addition to saving you a few strokes. Earlier tee time the better because... More

I played Ocean for the fourth time recently and each time has been a completely different experience. I have played it in the morning (caddies required), I have played it in the afternoon (a fore caddy required) and I have enjoyed each experience. There is one thing that makes each visit unique - THE WIND! This was the first visit... More

My brother and his new wife live in Las Cruces, NM. I orchestrated their nuptials at the Ocean Course Clubhouse for them since I am considerably closer. From the beginning to the moment we were done, everything was simply breathtaking. Ashley D., banquet and catering manager was professional and personable in her assistance with details. She and her entire staff... More

Good conditions and test of golf. With the wind, playing one tee shorter makes for a more enjoyable experience. The forecaddie was good and helped us maintain a good pace of play. Beware, there is hardly any shade. The porch at the clubhouse is also nice for drinks. Allow for enough time to get there; it is a long drive... More

Beautiful course but this is tough you better leave the driver in the bag stick with the 3 wood to keep it in the fairway. I have seen Scratch Golfers come of this course talking to them selves and scratching their heads..

I enjoyed the course but with a breeze that day I had a hard time playing my game. I'm not a scratch golfer by any means but the conditions lead to me having far less than a great day at the beach.

Be prepared for a surprise: There are no on-course lightning sirens or warnings, nor are there any covered places to wait out the storms. Our caddies were incredulous as well. Obviously we were caught up in a lightning storm. The nearest bolt hit a tree on the adjacent fairway and blew pieces of it for a radius of about 100... More

What a beautiful course. It's perfect for a challenging game and a beautiful view of the Atlantic and Kiawah Island. Very special, for sure! However, you need to be an experienced "coastal" golfer. The wind is challenging. It will definitely give your golf ego a challenge! Enjoy!!

Not even much of a golfer, but decided to go for it. Was not as tough as I had expected, so it was very enjoyable. That said, scored poorly but still a fun experience.
