Had an opportunity to play here three times in the past year and it is simply the best course and the best playing experience that I have had. From a pure golf experience, I would put this course (barely) above Pebble Beach, Spyglass and Sea Island - which are my other 3 favorite courses I had played. But it is... More

Course conditions were excellent and the wind was blowing. After starting with a birdie, I knew that I had peaked too soon as the course is very, very challenging. Caddies can be indifferent but they know the greens. Pay attention and play within yourself.

Pete Dye's masterpiece! A top flight experience. The staff, from those at the club drop, pro shop, caddies are exceedingly helpful and polite. The golf course is playable for almost all levels of expertise, assuming that they choose the proper tees. Maintained in excellent shape. Very challenging but fair. The hallmark of an excellent course is the variety of the... More

I've played hundreds of golf golf courses on 4 continents, in 12 countries and 25 states. The Ocean Course is in the top 5 in my opinion. With impressive ocean views on many shots and a solid Pete Dye routing, I never get tired of playing this course. But bring your A game.

This was my second time playing here and hubby's first. Both scored pretty well despite challenging holes. Loved the course. stunning views, really playable and the caddies are encouraging and make certain you have a good time. The price is certainly steep but well worth the experience. We've been talking about it for days and hope to play it again... More

By any measure this is a fantastic golf experience - nice layout, beautiful views, challenging holes, good service, golf history. But for what you're paying ($370 green fee + $70 caddie tip), they should spend a little money on bunker maintenance. No sand in the bunkers, haven't been raked, so you're hitting out of hard pack or mud. No consistency,... More

Great course. Terrible caddies, they think they know everithing and they are insoportable!!!!! They should get people more humble that can be more sympathetic. It is realy a bad expetience. The course is great but these guys are terrible. If you can avoid the caddy.

We paid over $350 for a round on this beautiful course, It was one of the nicest courses I've ever played however the low rating is strictly for the pace of play. I cannot believe I paid almost $400 for a round which took 6 hours to complete. For a course with this kind of prestige, I found it surprising... More

If you love golf, you should play this course. Bring your "A game," your credit card for a significant greens fee, and some cash for a good tip for your caddy (very highly recommended, my most recent one, Phil, was terrific - and had carried over 2000 rounds), and you'll have a great day. I've been playing golf for over... More

Great Course but get a caddy and walk as fore caddy was poor and you spend too much time on the cart paths which are often below fairway level.
