Lots of beach, tons of clear view. The ocean area wasn't cluttered by anything. The sand was extremely soft. It was a simple place. Good for a stroll. Life guard on site. There is a parking fee though. Has rinse off showers & changing rooms l. Good little set up. Lots of nice looking wild life (mostly birds & little... More

Beach was quiet and pretty. Only complaint was no boogey boarding waves. Excellent shower area and accommodations.

We've been coming to Charleston frequently mostly for the beaches, and visited pretty much all the main ones. So far, this one is the best we've seen. Pros: - Very natural, overall clean beach. - Was not crowded at all... Great for families. - priced very well. - Has all the basic beach amenities you'd need. Cons: - Not a... More

Natural, clean, not crowded, beautiful. Parking spaces were plentiful and the bathroom and shower facilities were clean. There is a small concession stand when walking in and chairs & umbrellas available to rent. If you walk a mile or so toward Seabrook during low tide you will more than likely see dolphins strand feeding. It is such a neat experience... More

Beach amenities are reasonably priced. Concession stand, dressing room, showers, beach chair and umbrella rental, life guards on duty. Brackish water with a lot sea debris. Wear swim shoes and be careful of the undertow. When seas are calm, area is ideal.

We started by trying to hit every beach on the East Coast from New Jersey on down...once we got to Kiawah that's where we stopped because it doesn't get any better. We have been coming back for 13 years now ... hard packed sand makes for a nice stroll or riding a bike, 80+ degree water temperature makes for awesome... More

Beautiful beach with a small snack bar, restrooms and a rinsing station. Dogs are allowed on the beach year-round, during regular park hours. Dog owners generally take their pups down to the south end of the beach, so non-dog folks can enjoy the beach in peace. Low tide means some nice tidal pools for little kids and pups to splash... While in South Carolina we went to 4 beaches and this was one of our favorites. It wasn't too crowded and there was a great atmosphere. It was more of a natural setting rather than touristy like Myrtle Beach. It was a perfect afternoon and the breeze was great since it was hot! Also the bathrooms were in good shape... More

Soft sand, and packed sand you can ride your bike on the beach. Don't skip the beach on cloudy days, so calm & beautiful.
