Beautiful spot, cheap day at the beach

Only $7 admission, great beach, decent services (showers and bathrooms), fun fishing. Great walk to the inlet - 1.5 miles one way. Prepare to see dolphins, great birds, etc.

This beach is amazing, has been rated on top 10 American beaches more than once! This is NOT a beach town, no hotels, t shirt shops, bars, etc...just a beautiful beach which is huge at low tide, dunes are beautiful. It is a county park so there are bathrooms, outside shower, and a small snack bar up by the parking... More

Access to the beach from the parking area is through a service area with vending machines and toilets. Being there in off season there were no charges. You can bring your dog and let him run free if you dare do so. The beach is extensive and almost all yours in the off season. Careful of the protected areas and... More

My wife and I were on a road trip from Charleston, SC to Savannah, GA and thought we would stop and check out Kiawah Island. After our attempt to get into Kiawah was thwarted upon learning that "everything is private", we were told we could go down the street to the beach. We were definitely glad we did. The parking... Having a parking pass is a must. Once you are parked, get all your belongings, you will pass by the nice restroom area (for a beach), showers, etc. and head for the beach. It is a quick walk. There is plenty of beach for everyone. Clean, relaxing, quiet. Great for the family.

Most Charleston County parks are $2 or so per person. If you go on the weekends here it's $7 per car. However, if you can get out there this off-season during the week, then you can park for free. Very nice LONG beach. Dogs are allowed on and off leash. Do please pay attention to the signs as certain areas... More

Kiawah Island is a great place to bring your dogs. They are allowed on the central part of the island's stretch of beach, as long as they are on leash. But, for off-leash fun, Beachwalker Park is the place to go. We brought our two Labrador Retrievers 3 of the 6 days we were on Kiawah, and they had the... More

This public beach is bare bones. Although the website says chairs and umbrellas are available for rental, they were not on the day we went. We went on a Monday in August, not what I consider to be off-season. There are also no lifeguards. Snack bar is very limited. If you bring everything with you to the beach, it is... More

Nice park with clean and functioning amenities. (i.e. Restrooms, tables & benches, snackbar) It will cost you $7 to park on the weekdays and $10 on the weekends. If you want to rent a couple chairs and an umbrella it will set you back $30. We went on the week of Aug. 18th, 2014 and no lifeguards were on duty... More

This is the best beach park I have ever visited. It has all of the required facilities, even umbrella and chair rentals. We loved it!
