Kiawah Island is a great place to bring your dogs. They are allowed on the central part of the island's stretch of beach, as long as they are on leash. But, for off-leash fun, Beachwalker Park is the place to go. We brought our two Labrador Retrievers 3 of the 6 days we were on Kiawah, and they had the... More

This public beach is bare bones. Although the website says chairs and umbrellas are available for rental, they were not on the day we went. We went on a Monday in August, not what I consider to be off-season. There are also no lifeguards. Snack bar is very limited. If you bring everything with you to the beach, it is... More

Nice park with clean and functioning amenities. (i.e. Restrooms, tables & benches, snackbar) It will cost you $7 to park on the weekdays and $10 on the weekends. If you want to rent a couple chairs and an umbrella it will set you back $30. We went on the week of Aug. 18th, 2014 and no lifeguards were on duty... More

This is the best beach park I have ever visited. It has all of the required facilities, even umbrella and chair rentals. We loved it!

Lots of beach, tons of clear view. The ocean area wasn't cluttered by anything. The sand was extremely soft. It was a simple place. Good for a stroll. Life guard on site. There is a parking fee though. Has rinse off showers & changing rooms l. Good little set up. Lots of nice looking wild life (mostly birds & little... More

Beach was quiet and pretty. Only complaint was no boogey boarding waves. Excellent shower area and accommodations.

We've been coming to Charleston frequently mostly for the beaches, and visited pretty much all the main ones. So far, this one is the best we've seen. Pros: - Very natural, overall clean beach. - Was not crowded at all... Great for families. - priced very well. - Has all the basic beach amenities you'd need. Cons: - Not a... More

Natural, clean, not crowded, beautiful. Parking spaces were plentiful and the bathroom and shower facilities were clean. There is a small concession stand when walking in and chairs & umbrellas available to rent. If you walk a mile or so toward Seabrook during low tide you will more than likely see dolphins strand feeding. It is such a neat experience... More

Beach amenities are reasonably priced. Concession stand, dressing room, showers, beach chair and umbrella rental, life guards on duty. Brackish water with a lot sea debris. Wear swim shoes and be careful of the undertow. When seas are calm, area is ideal.
