As with all Carolina beaches this one is flat. It is great to walk or ride a bike on. You can see dolphins and other wildlife. The beach requires a bit of a walk to access it. It is long and mostly uncrowded. Rest rooms are not too far way depending on how far down the beach you walk. There... More

Beautiful beach. Well maintained park - lovely dunes. Dog delight. I've heard it's crowded in summer. It's a gem in the winter.

Beachwalker Park is open year round. The is a parking/admission fee in the summer. During the "off-season", access is free. However, the services are also limited. The park is the only public access point the Kiawah Island beach. All other access requires a way to get through the security gate at Kiawah. The beach is flat and wide, well suited... More

We loved getting out of the Charleston area a bit and enjoying a quieter beach which allows dogs. The parking area is well managed and there is a snack booth available as well as showers/bathrooms. You can rent umbrellas and chairs from the snack booth as well.

Great beach park. We enjoyed walking the beach. Not many shells but lots of soft sand. There was no charge for a weekday in October but beware the close at 6pm. We didn't realize that and were locked in and security had to come open the gate.

As we are not fancy enough to merit admittance into Kiawah Island, we came across the poor boys entrance at Beachwalker County Park. $8 entry, but it was worth the day we spent exploring a relatively pristine beach. No beach houses, no commercial development. Just a super wide beach as far as you can see. Thankfully there is a bathroom... More

This was my first time here and I fell in love!! Pet friendly (on leash). Parking was $7 for the day. Restroom facilities were good for a public park. Rustic changing room and open showers available. Nice boardwalk path to get to the beach. Large, sandy beach area with lifeguards and we noticed an officer paroling on foot. Rentals and... More

Spent a few hours here relaxing. It's a nice beach, nothing to complain about. The umbrella rentals is a great plus.

This is a beautiful beach. We paid $7 to park and it was definitely worth it. They had umbrellas to rent for $10 but no chairs. We had to buy chairs at the local general store. The beach was not crowded so at times we felt like we almost had a private beach.
