The pet-friendly beach is very nice, but they should post signs on edge of dunes. Warning! Coyote traps! Unfortunately, my puppy followed another dog into the dunes and when distracted she did not return right away. The other dog came out, but i followed my dog to get her and just less than 50 yards in my dog got caught... More

We ventured to this park for the shelling, there were nice shells, including some broke sand dollars. Go at low tide for best shelling, you can ride bikes on the packed sand at that time. We were walking in search of dolphins strand fishing, but it was a bit too far for my injured daughter...and then we heard that it... More

It was so nice to find a beach that was very quiet and out of th way at this time. In March, it is free entrance during weekdays. It is prohibitive to walk the dunes due to nesting birds. Catch this beach at Low Tide and there are shells to be found along the water and in the sandy beach.... More

Visit Beachwalker Park to soak up the sun, laze in the sand, and walk the beach. There isn't a great deal of parking, so don't wait to arrive, get there early! If you venture down the beach towards Seabrook Island, you may even get to experience one of nature's most amazing sights: dolphins strand feeding If you are lucky, you... More

First things first, get here early so you don't have to fight to get a parking spot or run the chance that they'll run out of rentable chairs and umbrellas. The water isn't clear by any means, but it is wonderfully warm and calm and not very deep. It's one of the cleanest beaches I've ever come across, even with... More

This is a great way to go to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and for a small parking fee you can be at a very clean, large beach.

You know the great thing about a great beach. It is the beautiful and blazing white powder sand that is fluffy like talcum powder. It is also the turquoise or crystal clear waves that let you see all the way to toes in even when the water is at shoulder levels. You can see the schools of small shimmering fish... More

We made a day trip from Mt. Pleasant. Everyone in the family loved the beach. It was clean, the water was warm, and the parking situation is well organized. We didn't venture out too far from the main part of the beach, but I was told that 15 minutes away, we could have seen a lot of aquatic life.

We visited for the day from Charleston and it was wonderful. There is a changing area and outdoor showers as well as a small snack bar. The beach was clean and beautiful. The waves were small and perfect for young kids or those who are worried about strong currents. You can rent umbrellas from the lifeguard for 10 dollars and... More

One of our favorite things that we did on our trip to Kiawah was walking one day and riding bikes another day to the mouth of the Kiawah River at Beachwalker Beach. If you go during low tide, you will see dolphins strand feeding. It is an amazing sight to see. Definitely go, but be respectful of the dolphins and... More
