Nice stores for shopping and a decent number of restaurants with various types of food and costs. Well laid out village, easily walked around to all stores and restaurants. good areas for parking.

Just went for a quick trip to Harris Teeters for dinner and ending up shopping and walking around. Picked up great prepared food for dinner and some sandles and shirt at the sports store next door. Nice atmosphere and parking was surprisingly easy.

As always, Freshfields was a pleasure to visit. The new grocery (Harris Teeter) was good. I didn't find it much different from Newton Farms and a lot of things were more reasonably priced. We had some great steaks on the grill! The shops are always enjoyable and make for a nice afternoon stroll. We were able to attend the Farmer's... More

We thought Freshfields is nicely done and had everything we needed during the trip. We found the Harris Teeter prices to be reasonable; they actually had some pretty good meat and seafood specials during our stay.

Good mix of retail, business and restaurants. Heges, Vincent's, king street grille are located here. Market store. The retail shops provide venue for some local artisans. Very expensive. New boutique hotel just opened.

We were on Kiawah for a week and, of course, wanted to get groceries. We stopped at the Harris Teeter at Freshfields. It obviously caters to higher-end tastes [lots of stuff available here that wasn't available at a Food Lion about 10 miles away], but the mark-ups were just ridiculous and the quality only average. For instance, we were here... More

Shopping is fun at Freshfields Village. The drugstore even has an old fashioned soda fountain where you can order a soda or hamburger. Depending on what day you are there, you could even run across a farmer's market in the grassy area or watch a free movie or listen to music entertainment. If you are staying in the area, the... I had the pleasure of visiting in the recent past and was so impressed with this little village. Sort of like a best kept secret. The shopping is great with many varieties of shops and delicious restaurants. It is between two resort areas and has an upscale feel, but small town charm; if that is possible. There is a full-service... More
