I spent a couple of happy hours going through the shops at Freshfields. There was a little of everything: groceries, clothing for men, women, and children, local crafts, restaurants, ice cream, gear for outdoor activities, etc. Prices are up there, but quality is great.

All ages from 6 to 76 enjoyed dancing to the Travis Allison band on the green last weekend. Also loved having the wonder works toy store nearby for treats and giant lollipops. The girls and boys loved getting “striped” hair from Wonderworks hair chalk. And to boot we had an ice cream shop in walking distance finish off the night.

The Village is loaded with quaint shops and restaurants surrounding the Village Green (where they have a "fair" of local vendors each Monday during the Summer). This is a great venue for shopping (and they have a large supermarket to stock up on things) and eating. There are two ice cream parlors that are a must on a hot day.... More

Great place to shop for the things to make your vacation even better. For clothing, Groceries, jewerly and restaurants, the trip to this small shopping venue is well worth the trip.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Andell Inn and walked through Freshfields every evening after dinner. Everyone was very friendly and the town is beautiful and seems so safe. The Harris Teeter is so convenient and the prices are great! Movie night on the lawn was so cute and fun! We can't wait to return!

I haven't been to Freshfields since last year so I was surprised to learn that the grocery had been taken over by Harris Teeter. On the upside, prices are a little more reasonable than they used to be and they offer bonus items if you use a VIC card ( the cashier will let you use theirs). They have a... More

Just went for a quick trip to Harris Teeters for dinner and ending up shopping and walking around. Picked up great prepared food for dinner and some sandles and shirt at the sports store next door. Nice atmosphere and parking was surprisingly easy.

As always, Freshfields was a pleasure to visit. The new grocery (Harris Teeter) was good. I didn't find it much different from Newton Farms and a lot of things were more reasonably priced. We had some great steaks on the grill! The shops are always enjoyable and make for a nice afternoon stroll. We were able to attend the Farmer's... More

We thought Freshfields is nicely done and had everything we needed during the trip. We found the Harris Teeter prices to be reasonable; they actually had some pretty good meat and seafood specials during our stay.
