This area has most everything you will need for a week's stay on the island. While this is technically off the island, it is not really on the mainland. Prices are in line with the convenience factor and selections are somewhat limited. You will find more variety at a lower price by shopping for food and dry goods before you... More

This is a convenient and delightful excursion at Kiawah without leaving the resort area. It offers reasonable shopping and all the amenities you may need for your short term food items without having to travel into town.

Freshfields has been a charming venue, with attractive shops & fairly good restaurants conveniently located for both Kiawah and Seabrook, but recent additions cause concern. From an architectural perspective, the new hotel and the new bank are stark, unattractive, modernistic buildings that are not a good fit with the village. Rumor has it that many more additions are coming ---... More

The shops in Freshfields are great because they are unique. They do not have the ubiquitous Gap and Chicos (You can find those downtown), so we were sorry to learn one of our favorite shops, The Old Rangoon, was moving to Greenville, NC because the new management was giving them a hard time about their lease. The new management should... More

My sister and I had some time before our trail ride at Seabrook Island so we found Freshfields. The shops were all very well stocked and welcoming. I will definitely go back on my next trip to SC.

Nice small shopping village almost like Town Center with local grocery store, pharmacy, shopping, and restaurants. Can easily walk to everything. Nirvana Spa was wonderful.

Stop by to just stroll around in a pretty setting, shop quaint boutiques, places to dine, grocery store, bank, etc. There is a little bit of everything. We went after Christmas so there were some fairly good sales otherwise bring some plastic.

It's a cute little shopping village - the center of which is a Harris Teeter store (formerly the awesome Newton Farms Market by Piggly Wiggly that really did cater to the local vacationers.) BUT I will say that the seafood counter with Jim or Thelma will still fresh steam you some delicious LOCAL wild caught shrimp. Takes about 10 minute... More

When we read about the shopping "village". We thought oh that will be nice. I little stroll through some unique shops maybe like Bar Harbor or maybe Cape May. But...NO- this has a gorcery store; a Harris Teeter and then a few other shops thrown together in their "village". But really- it's just a strip mall with some random businesses.... More
