Kiawah is the most special beach I have ever been to. I grew up on the New England shore and thought nothing could be better. Until we found Kiawah. No matter where you stay on the island you have access to a glorious 10 miles of beach. Choose a townhouse, condo, villa or a 5 star hotel. Perfect for couples,... More

If you like natural beauty, picturesque vistas, bird watching, a fantastic beach, bike paths everywhere, a wonderful variety of mid to high end accomodations, and world class golf and tennis, Kiawah is your place. Fantastic for families, groups of friends and couples. Love Kiawah.

I love the whole area from Downtown Charleston to Kiawah beaches. I like the shopping and the golfing too.

I'm sitting in my ocean view room trying to decide what to title my review. We have had a myriad of emotions towards this little island in the last 48 hours. So the best I came up with is...conflicted. When we first arrived we were very excited about the natural look of the area as we entered Kiawah. The marshes... More

Kiawah is a forested island with extensive biking and walking trails. It has a conveniently located shopping area and beautiful beaches. Great for families and golfers, but you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy your stay. There are nature programs and wildlife viewing areas, and of course, look out for the alligators.

A more attractive island can not be found. A myriad of excellent accommodations, with excellent golf opportunities both on and off the island. The dining opportunities are diverse, in terms of fare, atmosphere and price.

We stayed at a friends house here for a week in October. The island was very nice. The bike paths were great for riding and jogging. The beach was amazing and there were very few people on the beach. Everyone was very nice to is even though we were guests. It is such a beautiful place. The only thing is... More

Kiawah is really beautiful and truly restful. We stayed in a lovely house with grand views of the marsh and wonderful old live oaks literally dripping with moss. KI is pretty expensive, so be prepared to pay around $15 or more for a sandwich, more for meals. Freshfields Village is located just before the entrance and contains quite a number... More

This was my first trip to the island... and it was amazing! It is peaceful and the beaches are amazing! There weren't a lot of people... which was good. It was also very clean, which I love! It is also fun to ride bikes all around the island. Can't wait to go back!
