A great hotel experience

The ambiance, the accommodating staff, and the beautiful rooms made the experience exceptional. I can't say enough about the positive aspects of the Sanctuary.

Gated private island south of Charleston. In fact, two gates, one to get onto the island and one to get to the east end where the upscale Ocean Course and huge mansions are located. Much of the east end beach appears to have been washed away because there were huge trucks and earth movers that were creating a new dune... More

For those that love Hilton Head, but hate the crowds, check out Kiawah. Golf here is the main draw, and the courses are fantastic--and pricey. Best bet here is to rent a house and plan on doing a lot of cooking. The food options are somewhat limited compared to other islands, as the place is much less commercial overall. Crowds... More

I stayed here with my two children during a conference for my wife, we came completely unprepared, the only two things that included are the views and transportation. I wanted to hit golf balls with my 7 year old son and and was promptly informed it would be $20 each and we could return when it's less busy. Seriously I... More

Mother's Day dinner celebration. Not our first time at the table. This special occasion was again highlighted by the extraordinary staff the continue to contribute the overall success that Jasmine Porch is noted for. In my many travels to include living 12 years in Germany, I can truthfully say our dining experience was 5 Star. From the warm reception by... More

Have spend so many wonderful holidays on Kiawah with kids, grandkids, friends and on our own. Each time I think I'll be walking the beach and thinking, "Ok. It was great, but I'm over it." But every time I just love being there. So many things to see and do--even if you don't play golf. A really great spot for... More

Kiawah has great food, accommodations, golfing, and activities. The beaches are pristine, huge and wide. Day trips to Charleston is only about 45 minutes away. The beach is one of the best. It is however a little pricey.

Our first visit to Kiawah Island, a quiet and elegant retreat with lush low country vegetation and massive homes that rival any upscale coastal development. Golfing is the main attraction, with beachcombing and bike riding almost a second thought. Notable is the lack of much in the way of general services such as on-island restaurants, shops, etc. outside of Freshfields... More

Golf, tennis, biking on the sand or the network of trails. Boogie boarding, the Night Heron Park with endless fun for kids - Kamp Kiawah, free magic show at night, water slides. There's enough to keep a family busy and happy for weeks.
