From the abundance of pink at the Lily store, to the $900 fat-tire bicycle at the outdoors shop, to the "best of" toy store, this "village" has all the makings of a movie set -- only it's all real. Really. Stroll the aisles of the Newtown Farms grocery and discover items you never knew you needed, but soon won't live... More

Unless you want to drive about 20 miles up the road to the Piggly Wiggly at US 17, then this (Newton Farms) is your place to buy groceries as it's the only place closer to Kiawah or Seabrook. (Kiawah has a tiny market-mostly a coffee/pizza shop with a few shelves of food). It has a fantastic selection of high end... More

The village is very convenient to Kiawah Island and provides the closest option for grocery shopping. The groceries are expensive for the same products you would buy at home (at least for us.) There are several cute shop and not all of them are outrageous. The sports store has some cute and affordable woman's clothing (Roxy type dresses.) It is... More

Freshfields Village is the shopping center located at the entrance to Kiawah Island and next to Seabrook Island. There is a large grocery store that also has prepared foods. The prices for some of the things are of course very high but other things are normal. There is also a drug store/ice cream fountain, several restaurants, shops and a clinic... More

This is a convenient place to shop and window shop while staying on Seabrook or Kiawah Islands. The grocery store is a trip within itself blending ordinary items with specialties. Nice shops, particularly a pottery gallery, and a few good restaurants such as Hege's and LaTela, make the place a 'must see' on your trip to the islands.

Having a place nearby, we shop here all the time (mainly at Newton Farms--a Piggly Wiggly affiliate that doesn't have their prices or sales). There are some good and some average restaurants and reasonable shopping and services. It gets crowded on holidays, spring break, and in the summer, but what do you expect with beaches nearby?

They have outdoor entertainment on the Green on Friday evenings. We had dinner at La Tela italian restaurant just off the Green. Good food, but long lines. They do take-out as well.

Freshfields is great! They have many shops including a pricey, but less pricey than the market on Kiawah, grocery store. It is full of gourmet foods, including the best chicken salad on the planet!

Freshfields Village has everything you need if you are visiting Kiawah or Seabrook Island. The grocery store, called Newton Farms, is a boutique grocery with an excellent prepared foods area, great wine selections, delightful cheese bar, Starbucks, free WIFI and all the standard grocery items. The village has restaurants, a pharmacy, post office, dry cleaner, banks and gas station. Specialty... More
