This beach is great, they have changing areas, restroom, volleyball, picnic area, and showers. This is a family friendly beach and I never mind paying the $7 to park and can always find a good parking spot. This is a wonderful beach and one of Charleston's best!

Isle of Palms has a fantastic public beach. Parking can be tight, but the municipal lot is close to the public beach access and has a reasonable $6 fee. The beach is clean, the water was warm and clear. Great beach experience.

The Isle of Palms County Park is convenient and easy to access. Has public restrooms with changing areas. Can be very crowded on weekends and during summer. Nice, well managed public park.

Go at dawn. Park at a metered space just past the county lot. Watch the sun rise and collect tons of sea shells. We collected an entire gallon Ziplock bag full of beautiful oyster and clam shells. One clam shell was as big as my hand! We found small tan and white crabs and little fish stranded in the tidal... More

IOP is expensive. This park is a gem 7-10 bucks to park all day 100 ft to the beach bathrooms snacks and a great stretch of beach so stay 10-15 mins away for 100 bucks a night instead of 400 a night and drive down at 9 am on weekdays and find easy cheap parking with lots of beach

Beautiful sand and ocean, lots of people, lifeguards, dogs can walk on beach, neat pier, great bathrooms and area for dressing/undressing, snacks sold by venders. Parking does cost like $7.00 per day and fills up FAST! It opens at 9:00. I was there at 9:25 and had to go to the "overflow" parking area.

The park sits in the middle of the business district of Isle of Palms. While it is nice, there is nothing special to see there.

The most convenient spot to park at IOP, especially with a family! The park fills up quickly on busy days, but even parking at the back of the lot is fine considering you get access to decent restrooms, changing rooms, and showers. You can also leave through the side gates on foot and walk to some of the shops on... More
