We visited on a Sunday in the high tourist season, so crowds are to be expected. It was not so crowded that people were right on top of each other, though. The beach is clean and there are outdoor showers to get the sand off. Parking is $10 on the weekend, but $10 is much less than we would pay... More

We were only parked for 45 minutes near closing time but still charged a full day rate. Nice facility with changing cabanas, restrooms, snack bar, showers, and beach access, but parking should be prorated by time spent.

Super relaxing beach! Nothing special about the sand or water but very pleasant. It was very busy but that is to be expected.

The Isle of Palms Marina from Summerville, took 45 min., and if you go online directions are there and easy to print. When we drove up to the marina, Captain Bob was there to great us and give directions to park.

We went with our 3 kids ages 4, 5, and 7 and loved the experience on the beach. Easy parking ($7) and close walk to the beach. Lifeguards on duty for a narrow strip of the beach. Plenty of people but not overly crowded on a Wednesday. Nice showers, changing rooms, and restrooms were all cleaner than usual at a... More

The only expenditure for this wonderful beach area is the parking. There is hourly parking available just a short walk to the beach. We spent an evening walking on this very clean beach. The sandy beach is vast. We walked for a mile just looking at the houses, condos and restaurants all lining this beautiful beach. This is a very... More

While we were down in Charleston, we decided to visit some of the local beaches. We went to Isle of Palms for a couple hours in the late morning/early afternoon. It was a pretty nice beach. There we quite a few people there. We parked here at the County Park. It was the easiest to get to. When we got... More

This beach is wonderful. I lived in North Charleston 12 years ago and visited this beach a few times while living there. I had forgot how nice this place is. I will definitely frequent this beach in the future. My family and friends love it.
