We saw an elaborate water rescue practice with land based vehicles staged here and two blackhawk helicopters also. Water vehicle and firetrucks which my grandson really liked were there also. We recently took a day trip to visit the beach and decided to go to the county park on the Isle of Palms. It was 60 degrees in February and great sun. The public park has easy parking and is easy to find. In the summer you pay to park but it seems in the off season it's free. Restrooms...

Our stay was pleasantly nice. We booked the 3 bedroom suite and traveled with 2 other couples. We loved how secluded the resort felt and how close by shops were also. We traveled for my husband's birthday and we had checked the weather earlier that week and realized it would be in the 70's in January!

We always make such a big deal out of staying ocean front so we can easily get to the beach. This time where we stayed, the walk over was over 1/4 mile.
