Challenging course with subtle elevation changes, winds to make you think about your shots, but never worrying about landing in a badly maintained area to hit a shot. Nice pro shop, friendly and attentive staff.

I have played the Robert Trent Jones and Fazio courses on Hilton Head's Palmetto Dunes Plantation before, but this was my first round on the Arthur Hills course. Excellent, friendly service. Very nice clubhouse and pro shop. Beautiful course in excellent condition. Challenging layout with plenty of water, but not too tough for the average golfer (I typically shoot in... More

This course is my new favorite on Hilton Head! It is a hidden gem tucked back in Palmetto Dunes. Course layout is challenging yet fair. Service was impeccable- Mark gave me some great tips for the course and Pat helped pick out an outfit for my wife (which she loved by the way). I'll definitely be bringing the boys back... More

I've played the Arthur Hills Course at Palmetto Dunes several times, including just after aeration a few months ago. Despite a few bumps, the round was excellent. Aeration or not aeration, the course always plays fair and is easily staffed by some of the best people on the island. We also got a huge discount given the conditions - a... More

I'm the coach of a college golf team and we have been stopping at Palmetto Dunes specifically to take a lesson with Doug Weaver for the past 5 years. This has proven to be a great launch to our spring season. Doug has been great working with the guys and individually addressing their specific issues. We have addressed course management,... More

Hilton Head has several courses to offer a traveler. After playing close to 10 different courses the one that I will always play again is Arthur Hills. From the staff to the course everything has always been first class. The course is challenging but fair. So golfers of all levels can enjoy it. The staff is friendly and courteous and... More

Yes, I know it was just aerated: Everybody told me - twice. But I played the Arthur Hills course anyway, and while it wasn't in the best shape, I thought the course was decent, and we had a great time. They discounted for the condition, so I thought that was fair. What doesn't seem to be fair is that their... More

This was the first course we played on Hilton Head island and it made it very difficult for the other courses to keep up to there standard. Small tip, if you buy a snack at the 10th keep it with you when you go to putt out, the crows steal it of your buggy if you don't , amazing to... More

I had a 7:12 am t-time, I was a single, they teamed me up with 3 other guys, who got their early. The starter sent them off early at 6:55, never said anything to me putting on the putting green! I show up for my t-time and the starter says "sorry" I guess you"ll have to catch up with them,... More
