Been waiting all week due to weather but it was well worth the wait! The minute the hooks hit bottom aboard the True Grits, we were catching on the reef 15 miles off shore. First Mate Matt had another line off the back for sharks which we hooked but couldn't quite get in. Captains Jeff's newest boat, a 31 foot... More

Took my boys on the Gullah Gal with Captain Steve to catch some sharks. We were there for about 3 hours and did not wait more than 2min between catches. Amazing experience and can't wait to come back.

We were blessed to have a day of total son in the 70s!! We came from Montana and our friends from Oklahoma....looking forward to catching lots of great fish. Had been raining the previous week but we had a perfect day! Capt. Jeff and and first mate Matt went above and beyond to make sure our day was as good... More

Took my wife and 3 kids on True Grits with Captain Jeff and 1st mate Matt. Had a great time. Caught several sharks including a 5 1/2 ft 80 lbs shark to finish the day. Jeff and Matt were awesome. We'll definitely do this the next trip to the island.

I actually went on this trip in 2012 with my girlfriend. The price just seemed like a better deal than being stuck on a crowded party boat, and without a doubt it was a better experience. The usual attempt to cast a net and catch bait fish was made, unsuccessfully, but rather than waste more time, Captain Jeff took us... More

Capt Steve and Chris were awesome. They asked what was important - answer have fun. We all did everyone caught fish and they worked to get the Dad's a chance at a shark. Had several hooked and delivered a nice 5 footer. Would highly recommend chartering with them.

1st off I want to thank Capt Steve and 1st mate Ben. We made a Tues in late May a guys fishing trip and the 4 of us had a blast. Yeah yeah we spent some time on the water looking for live bait to catch but who cares. We were on vacay and after Ben netted some live ones... More

Six of us went on a 3 hour trip on the True Grit with Captain Jeff and Matt. It took us about 20 to 25 minutes to get out to the area we fished. Unlike other reviews we did not have to catch bait. Everything was ready to go and we had a shark on the line within 10 minutes... More

Went on a six hour trip on the True Grit with captain Jeff and first mate Matt, great guys. This trip was about the seven year old and two twelve year old boys having a great time. Boy did we have a great time, caught at least 120 sea bass. The first mate was very patient and very accommodating to... More
