Booked the 9 AM ride for my wife and 10 year old son. They both enjoyed it greatly! The guide was a wealth of knowledge about the area and especially the wildlife and made the trip even more interesting. The farm is clean and all the staff were pleasant. The only negative was the actual time riding was 52 minutes.... More

This was an ok activity for a family with young children. I found it quite boring because we just played follow the leader. Approximately 20- 25 people rode in a straight line the entire time. It was $65.00 per person which I though was pretty expensive. A family of three was $195.00 for a 1 hour ride. The scenery was... More

My daughter is 6 and she thoroughly enjoyed her time here as did I. Free petting farm with plenty of room and animals. Horses, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, mini cows, and a sweet little deer. We didn't do the trail riding but it looked like it could have been fun. Spent $10 on pony ride for daughter. She... More

Our family of four had an experience of a lifetime! This was our first time ever riding and we were somewhat nervous. My husband and I were concerned we wouldn't even be able to get on and off the horse. Our worries were immediately alleviated by the super knowledgeable and friendly staff! They have "tall wooden steps" you can use... More

The horses are very well taken care of at the farm. My sister and I are advanced riders and it was fun to ride through the preserve. The horses were well mannered and the guides were great to talk to. I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks again guys!

One particular staff member dropped this from a 5-star to 3-star experience. We thought it would be fun to take our two children on a trail ride this week; ages 8 and 10, they had ridden once before in the Smoky Mountains, and our older daughter had the experience of a horse that liked to walk awfully close to the... My daughter and I rode last Wednesday, in the heat. It was still enjoyable, but I agree with comments about taking an earlier ride. Someone stated it was the worst stable ever. I don't know what that person is talking about!!! We have ridden horses at several different vacation destinations and this was the nicest stable, in my opinion. I... More

We took the 1 hour trail ride with our 10 year old granddaughter. The Sea Pines area is beautiful and seeing it on horseback was particularly nice. Our guides were good, continually reminding us to keep a 4-5 ft distance between horses for safety. I have only 2 minor complaints. 5 of us arrived well before the ride as clearly... More

After too much sun and sand, we took our grandchildren over to Lawton Stables. We all had a great time. The little ones loved the petting zoo area. We got to talk about all the different animals (rabbits, goats, a deer, horses ect...) and feed them. We took some carrots with us and fed the horses on the way out.... More

We had our three kids on the one hour horseback ride for $65 each and they loved it. a full hour ride along the trails at sea pines. Mom and I sat on the porch in the rocking chairs while the kids rode and we visited the petting zoo for free.
