A wonderful variety of toys, crafts, things to climb on and things to watch. The setting requires close supervision by parents. There is a long staircase with little protection for toddlers and no segregation by age, so older, larger children overwhelmed the little ones. But it kept our toddler busy and tired him out! Staff was very friendly, could have... More

I took my 21/2 year old granddaughter for a visit. There was lots of activity for this age. We both enjoyed our 2 hours together at The Sandbox!

Visited today (wet rainy day in Hilton head) my 5 year old enjoyed the 2 hrs we spent. Great space for open play - my son loved the pirate ship, pilot area and construction zone. When leaving hem said"can we come back tomorrow." So it was a hit! little cramped when busy but cleared out closing to lunch time -... More

We recently accompanied our daughter, son-in-law, and 21 month old granddaughter. What a great interactive place for children! Our granddaughter loved the indoor sandbox, building station, model trains set and large play cars the most. My daughter and I were fascinated with the large brite light set.

We took ten children to The Sandbox museum for a morning. The oldest child was eight and the youngest was two months. I have nothing but praise for this museum! Everyone had fun, everyone found lots to do, the staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating, friendly, and very helpful and understanding. It was a great time for all eighteen of... More

My daughter spent half of her visit doing arts and crafts (you can draw, paint, use stencils, glue sticks - you name it), and the other half running from exhibit to exhibit. She loved it so much that she threw a fit when my wife and I decided it was time for us to have a little fun and leave.... More

This is a great rainy day activity. My kids (5 yo boy and 8 yo girl) absolutely loved it. The staff was very friendly and the price is reasonable.

Our grandchildren (ages 4 and 7) loved the museum. They have many centers including a simulated airplane, dress up clothes ffor a pirate's ship, cash register, kitchen, veterinarian "hospital", puppet show, and several other children's centers. It is good for all children.

My mom and I took my 13 month here knowing there were limited areas and things for her to see. She enjoyed the toddler room and a few interactive areas in other rooms, but it was very crowded with many children not being properly watched and each area is VERY tight. The toddler/baby room was suppose to only be for... More
