Caesar’s Head / Mountain Bridge Wilderness, just like its counterpart Jones Gap, has trails and waterfalls… However, CHSP offers great views from roadside overlooks that doesn’t distinct between zealous and non-zealous outdoorsman (but the ascent and descent can be rough on your vehicle’s engine and brakes.). No disappointments. more
A few weeks back, we spent a weekend camping and hiking in Caesars Head State Park. We ended up arriving a little late due to work schedules and were afraid we wouldn't be able to check in for our campsites. The Park Ranger that met us at the trailhead, however, was extremley courteous and helpful and made a great impression... more
Great views of the southern edge of the Blue Ridge from the park. Nice lake to see and enjoy. Nice hiking trails. The park is often crowded on the weekends in the summer and fall. more
