We were driving from Atlanta to Charlotte to see friends, decided to veer north and spend a day in Brevard and visit Caesars Head before we drive into Charlotte. The state park is nice with many trails, but nothing too extraordinary. However, our visit to the Symmes Chapel at YMCA Greenville Camp, also known as "Pretty Place", was really memorable.... More

This is a great place to visit. It is surrounded by beauty and history. The ride up is enjoyable and the air is fresh. The kids love a trip through devils kitchen. The look off point is spectacular.

I have hiked every trail in this Park and would encourage that if you're in the area, to explore all this place has to offer.

This place has a great view of Table Rock and the Matthews Creek watershed. It has a nice little store that sells books and shirts and the like. You can hike down and connect with several trails at Jones Gap Park. Trails range from easy to strenuous. The trail down to Raven Cliff Falls is long but well worth it.... More

This is an excellent spot to visit. The Rte 276 to the top twists and turns and would be a joy to drive with a performance car like BMW or Porsche, especially a convertible. The scenery from the lookout is stunning. My friends from the flatland of Florida were very impressed by the mountains and all the forests below. There... More

If you are in the Asheville/Greenville area, do not miss this! First, see the view from the visitor center. Next, take a hike! We are relatively novice to hiking so we decided on the the red/waterfall trail that began about a mile from the visitor center. 2.2 miles one-way to a view of the waterfalls from across the valley. A... More

About 30 minutes outside Greenville, but well worth the drive. A very winding road takes you to the top of the mountain. History Buffs will enjoy the story behind the mountain area. The is a Ranger Station and Gift Shop at the Parking Lot. Rangers are friendly and available to answer any questions. The area is well-kept, good parking, nice... More

This Park is located at the border between SC and NC. Beautiful waterfalls. Great for hiking and many spots to look at Table Rock, Pinnacle Mountain and other peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
