To learn more of the incredible history of the "Textile Capital of the World"--Greenville, take a walking tour with the very knowledgeable John Nolen. He begins his one hour walking tour at Falls Park and has fabulous photos of what Greenville was just a few short years ago. Cost per person is very reasonable.

The West End Walking Tour is a pleasant addition to a Sunday afternoon spent downtown. My friends from Pennsylvania and I enjoyed John Nolan and all he had to say about the west end of Greenville in times past. He even had old pictures, prints and paintings to share! Highly recommended!

I am an activities director at an assisted living and we took the folks on this Greenville History Tour. John Nolan, our tour director was FABULOUS!!! The folks loved it and learned quite a bit about their town. I would absolutely recommend this tour company. We will be taking the historic homes tour soon, also. Thank You John for making... More

Our school class took a tour of the Falls and the history of the old mills that were used years ago. The children were engaged and we learned things about Greenville we didn't know! Definitely worth the money!

John was very well versed in Greenville history and had photos to share of the stops along the way to compare and contrast the Greenville of today with the Greenville of yesterday. He was very good with the girls who are ages 7-8 and they were very much engaged in what he had to say. Adults found it very interesting... More

I hired John to take a small group of us on a walking tour before a weekend conference we were attending. I knew we would never get outside during the conference so we scheduled to meet John the morning before. What an amazing city. And what an amazing tour guide we had. John showed us photos of Greenville's past and... More

A group of us went together for the West End Walking Tour. The guide was flexible with our group and shared a lot of knowledge in a down-to-earth way. We had a great time and learned a lot!

I have lived in Greenville for over 30 years and thought I was pretty educated about the history of our fair city until I did the West End Walking Tour with John Nolan. The tour was about an hour long and I learned so many amazing things about Greenville. What made it even more interesting was to be standing right... More

Whether you have lived in Greenville for many years or are a newcomer of sorts, the Greenville History Tour - West End is a delightful way to spend an hour in a transofrmed downtown. Mr. Nolan's style of communicating historical facts keeps the listener totally in tune every step of the way. The walk is not strenous and is dotted... More
