We chose our new home based upon it's proximity to the Swamp. Gets us downtown in 12 minutes, then on up to Furman University for a rest, then to Travelers Rest for a well-deserved beer at the Swamp Rabbit Tap Room. Mostly flat, paved with separate jogging lane, very popular, shaded in many spots, this former railroad bed is a... More

This is one of our favorite places in Greenville and we use it consistently. My husband and son bike weekly on the trail and the rest of us walk the dog. When I walk by myself during the day I feel safe as I often see police patrols cruising along on their four wheelers.

We love the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We park in Travelers Rest and head south toward Greenville. We usually do a loop around the beautiful campus lake at Furman University. The trail is paved and is usually wide enough for bikes to pass easily, except when you get those who tend to ride next to another rider instead of in single... More

Went with my husband on a date night, and would and will be going back! Lots to see and do if you're an outdoor type person. You get to see nature at its finest, and the trail is very well taken care of. Would highly recommend.

Took a bike ride, not all the way the entire length with my Granddaughters and for the most part, the trail is easily doable…even if you have not been on a bike in years!…you can get off and on very easy, pull over and rest if one would need to…great for biking and walking.

I've only been on this trail from Furman University up to Travelers Rest; and it is beautiful! Much of it is shaded, well paved, and there are many places in TR to stop and get drinks, food, use the bathroom, etc. I love to do the trail when we go up there.

We really enjoy riding our bikes on the trail. There is not much to not like about the experience. It is getting more and more popular. So if there is anything not to like is that it can be crowded somewhat. Look forward to further expansion.
