My husband and I are really not the biking type, but we do enjoy doing the short strip from Furman University into the small town of Travelers Rest. This length, I believe, is about 3 1/2 miles one way, so it ends up being a great ride there and back. There is a little ice cream shop closer to town... More

great 9 mile of so north bound to get you out of town. Geat path for warming up. Lots of other bike, walkers/joggers, babies, etc. and a fair number of stops crossing traffic where you need to be careful. I used them (when safe) to sprint to get heart rate up

Ran along the swamp rabbit trail. Upstream along the river: a very comfortable rubberized surface to run on for a couple of miles. Downstream, the trail allows for some uphill and downhill interval training exercises in a beautiful park setting. Plenty of people as early as 05:00 in the morning. Safe and comfortable!

We began in Traveler's Rest. This was our first time on the trail after hearing so much about it. The trail was beautiful. Trees, rocks, and moss - this trail puts you in the middle of nature. I was surprised at how busy it was. There were a lot of bikers. Many are courteous engouh to let you know they... More

The route from Greenville to Travelers Rest is about 9 miles. It's a very scenic ride couple cool stops. We rented cruisers from Reedy Bikes. Next time, we'll bring our road bikes and gear as cruisers are not so comfy when used to road cycling. But being a 18+ mile ride over a few hours was very enjoyable on this... More

Wish I had this cycling/running path in my city. Used this every day with our cycling tour to get out of the city and into the outskirts. Fantastic shops and cafes front onto this path. A standard that others should definitely replicate.

This is a treasure located between Greenville and Travelers Rest. An asphalt trail (I think the total one way length is about 17 miles), very busy on nice weekend days. It's narrow, so watch for quick cyclists coming the other way, and be sure to stay on your side. It crosses several very busy roadways; some motorists will yield to... More

This Trail runs through the heart of downtown Greenville, and anchors a lot of activity in the city. You can just take a stroll, ride a bike or just sit near the falls area and take in the sights. It is a beautiful and natural area to enjoy. If you like bike riding, the trail runs for many miles from... More

Follow the path to downtown Greenville all the way to Travelers Rest. Some areas are in the city and some in the county.
