They have added a couple of miles past TR. It makes for a nice long, leisurely bic ride. Be sure to look for the beaver crossing the trail after the train tracks going North. We have seen him several times. There are warm spots and very cool spots so summer and winter are both excellent times to ride the trail.... More

I've lived in Greenville for many years and never taken advantage of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I booked bikes with Bike the Rabbit in downtown Greenville. They have a convenient pick up location with free parking. The trail is very easy with no aggressive hills. There is plenty of shade along the route as well as places to stop for... More

Fantastic bike trail in Greenville SC with little traffic. I recommend starting at the Zoo and going up to Travellers Rest and back. Round trip of about 28 miles and not too difficult.

I think this is sort of a rails to trails conversion- but not certain. In any event, it is used heavily by walkers, cyclists, runners, etc. there are several spots where you have to cross what may be a somewhat busy street- but that shouldn't be an issue! The trail is paved from Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville all the... More

Hidden gem of downtown. Go for a bike ride, you will see real beauty of nature. The trail goes on and on and over a lot of little streams and parks and gardens.

This trail is well maintained with plenty of sites and sounds to keep you distracted from the fact that you're exercising.

Great trail, but the signage is hard to follow going through Greenville. Good trail to walk, run or bike.

My husband and I are really not the biking type, but we do enjoy doing the short strip from Furman University into the small town of Travelers Rest. This length, I believe, is about 3 1/2 miles one way, so it ends up being a great ride there and back. There is a little ice cream shop closer to town... More

great 9 mile of so north bound to get you out of town. Geat path for warming up. Lots of other bike, walkers/joggers, babies, etc. and a fair number of stops crossing traffic where you need to be careful. I used them (when safe) to sprint to get heart rate up

Ran along the swamp rabbit trail. Upstream along the river: a very comfortable rubberized surface to run on for a couple of miles. Downstream, the trail allows for some uphill and downhill interval training exercises in a beautiful park setting. Plenty of people as early as 05:00 in the morning. Safe and comfortable!
