Stops include visits to: Nose Dive (Gastropub) Soby's on the Side (Deli and Catering)* The Lazy Goat (Mediterranean cuisine and tapas) Soby's New South Cuisine (fine Southern cuisine) Passarelle Bistro (French inspired cuisine) Beyond the memorable culinary experiences, you will also learn fascinating insights into Greenville’s rich history, culture and architecture as well. (*If a restaurant has a schedule conflict, a stop at The Loft at Soby's or Papi's Tacos may be substituted. )

When we first moved to Greenville in 2013 my wife and I took this tour to help ourselves get more aquainted with downtown and some of the restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised to not only enjoy a terrific sampling of some of the downtowns restaurants but got a great historic tour as well. John Nolan not only knows food he... More

My wife and I are locals and loved this tour. Getting to meet the chefs and learn about their food was a treat. Our guide John was personable and has a wealth of short, interesting historical stories that helped us appreciate downtown Greenville even more. We would definitely do this again.

John has picked a great selection of restaurants to feature the delicious eats (and drinks!) in downtown Greenville and paired it with some interesting historical highlights along the way. My party of five ranged from 25-88 years of age, and everyone absolutely LOVED it. There was a bit of walking on the tour (about one mile in total), but the... More

I went as part of an older adult church group on this tour. We went to 5 restaurants, all within easy walking distance of each other. The food was different in each location, the restaurants themselves were all different from each other... but one thing they all had in common was FABULOUS food and enticing setting. Our guide, John, was... More

Sampling of wares of good restaurants accompanied by commentary from the chef was a culinary treat; the history imparted while walking between restaurants was the "icing on the cake". A nice variety of food and locations are included. I could not recommend more highly!!

What an amazing way to see Greenville. We were able learn about the history of the town while enjoying the most delicious meals from amazing chefs/restaurants. We have gone back to the restaurants several time since our tour. We have gone on several food tours since and this is hands down the best one!

Started the evening off with chef Greg Teal in the kitchen at Soby's On the Side. He prepared a delicious rosemary polenta with a bacon wrapped prawn but the peach sauce just set the dish off! Tom, our tour guide, was a warm and friendly host. He was very knowledge about Greenville and the buildings. He showed large pictures of... More

This was a birthday present--spent an afternoon walking around to 5 different restaurants downtown Greenville plus learning a bit about the history of the city. The tour was informative, the food was great (except for frog legs being the highlight of a dish at one of the restaurants--a questionable choice if the goal is to get you to come back).... More

I highly recommend this tour. I learned a lot of the Greenville downtown history. I loved the pictures and the detail explanation of each one. I also enjoyed the food and meeting new people at the tour. The people at the tour was very friendly and each of the chef and tour guide! Thanks! And I will definitely go to... More

John, the owner of the tour, couldn't have looked after us better. The tour was great and the food samples and drinks excellent. I'm a big guy and I walked away full. At each of the restaurants, a special place was all set up for us with food and drinks ready. Just a great night all-in. Thanks John.
