The At the Chef’s Table Culinary Tour affords guests the opportunity to sit at the tables of some of the city’s top chefs and sample their signature dishes. Tours include special access and experiences that go far beyond the normal dining encounter. Not only do you get to meet the chefs and sample their creations, but you also get to see cooking demonstrations (usually offered on Tuesday tours), eat in elegant private dining areas, and more. Stops include visits to: Nose Dive (Gastropub) Soby's on the Side (Deli and Catering)* The Lazy Goat (Mediterranean cuisine and tapas) Soby's New South Cuisine (fine Southern cuisine) Passarelle Bistro (French inspired cuisine) Beyond the memorable culinary experiences, you will also learn fascinating insights into Greenville’s rich history, culture and architecture as well. (*If a restaurant has a schedule conflict, a stop at The Loft at Soby's or Papi's Tacos may be substituted. )

Delicious food, a lovely city, and an engaging guide all combine to make this a wonderful treat. 3 hours of relaxing eating and touring (mostly eating). We are residents of Greenville, but this was a great way to learn about our own city.

This was a gift from my brother for my birthday and my boyfriend and I loved it! We both grew up in Greenville and have been to many of the restaurants but we learned many new fun facts and tried dishes we hadn't had before! Before the tour was even over, we were discussing who we wanted to get this... More

My boyfriend and I received this tour as a gift. We had gone on the West End Walking Tour with John before, but this was a completely new experience. He knows the area incredibly well and seems to have a great relationship with the chefs on the tour. He chose excellent restaurants that really highlight Greenville's cuisine. The food was... More

I went on this tour with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was perfection. Every restaurant was perfection. Loved the atmosphere, loved the dishes and loved the history infused throughout the tour. The staff at these restaurants are knowledgeable and care about their product. If something isn't to your liking, they'll make it right. John is... More

I really couldn't imagine a better way to be introduced to Greenville's culinary scene. John is totally laid-back, knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was amazing, innovative and incredibly tasty. Plus the history tour we got while walking between restaurants was really neat. John is obviously passionate about both food and history and conveys both interests well to his guests. All... More

John & Table 301 did a stellar job for our company VIP event in January 2015! Wonderful menu selection and beverage pairings and tons of fun facts & information on Greenville. This will be something we return to for sure!

What a great way to spend an afternoon! John was so pleasant and knowledgeable and threw in history along with the dining experience. The food was excellent as well. You won't leave hungry! Well worth the money and time.

I grew up in Greenville and have seen it undergo quite the change over the last 10-15 years. What I love about this tour is that anyone from the hometown native to the casual tourist will be treated as a guest in a fabulous and growing town. This tour combined an impressive blend of historical reference with a filling, robust... More

We were given this tour as a Christmas gift last year and decided to use it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The food was GREAT, the drinks were DELICIOUS and the history about Greenville was very interesting. I really enjoyed talking with the Chef's and learning a little more about their... More

As a lifelong resident of Greenville, SC, and being well-steeped in local lore & history - it was a pleasant surprise to gain more tidbits of local history from John Nolan. Along with morsels & spirits from Table 301 restaurants, John guided our group through a truly wonderful evening along Greenville's Main Street. Our group was comprised of locals &... More
