This unique place is like the "Discovery Place" in Charlotte. It has lots of interactive games and challenges. You will also find it educational. The 3 story museum has plenty to offer and you can spend several hours there exploring everything.

I'd be hard pressed to find a better activity for a child than a visit to the Children's Museum of the Upstate! My 6 year old son was delighted by the Climbers (I wanted a turn), and the "Turn off the Lights" game, especially. So many great exhibits and the people who work there do an amazing job keeping everything... More

What a great place to take children of all ages. The Children's Museum in Greenville, SC is a must !!! They have a section for the younger children such as 'The Farm" and slipper slide plus a grocery store. For older children, they can drive fast cars, climb on the Jungle Jim, enjoy the music room. They also have funorganized... More

We actually made a short trip specifically for The Children's Museum. It was a great place - lots and lots for the kids to do and more taken care of than other children's museums we'd been to. Our kids had a fabulous time and we enjoyed that they got to learn while having fun. We didn't visit the café onsite,... More

Thanks for the 4-star review! Especially since you traveled from Athens, GA to visit. We take pride in making sure our facility is not only well-kept, but clean and safe with a courteous staff. We are still trying to find a solution for our cafe, vending is only a temporary fix. Re-entry is permitted which makes it easy from our... More

Understand when it is for children they mean younger kids my son is 9 and it is apparently a cut off when they hit that age. One of the staff informed us he was too old to play on the indoor playground. Even though he was the one being the most polite and others were knocking kids out of the... More

Thank you for visiting the museum and we appreciate that you plan to return on less busy days/times. The least crowded times are the afternoons or on Sundays. Please note that we open at 11am on Sundays. You can also call ahead during weekdays to see if there are any groups or field trips scheduled. As a busy children's museum,... More

I wasn't expecting much from this museum because there's only so much fun you can have in what looked like a small space. Boy, was I happily wrong. Three floors of fun and excitement with a giant junglish-gym in the center. I have no idea which attraction was my daughter's favorite because she kept saying she loved them all. She... More

Geared more toward toddlers than older kids, finished in about 90 minutes. Have been to other children's museums which were better.

One of the best! And we've been to 6 in the SE from Birmingham to CLT -lots of physical and problem solving for kids. The 2 1/2 story climb area is one of the best I've seen. -Lots of sensory stuff from a wind tunnel to tubes to water. -Lots and lots of stuff you can't do at other museums.... More
