Our guide was Linda, she was very knowledgeable. We thought it was a plantation, but it was not a typical cotton plantation. It was a rice plantation. It was in the small town of Georgetown. One of the first houses built there that is on public display. This is not a tour for little kids that can't keep still and... More

This is an absolutely lovely museum. One of the best preserved collections of European and American antiques I have ever seen. Local docents lead the tour and really know their stuff. Opt to include the Stewart-Parker House next door in your tour and you will approach from the lawn where the citizens of Georgetown stood to listen to a speech... More

The grounds were full of lawn chairs and folks enjoying a wonderful concert. The setting will take you way back... We enjoyed hearing about the history of the home owners. Lovely evening.

We visited the Kaminski house and the adjacent Stewart Parker house. Both houses date from the earliest days of Georgetown. Both houses had architectural changes from their original construction but have remained true to the period for the most part. There was an interesting collection of furnishings in the Kaminski house that you are unlikely to see anywhere else. I... More

Only two people on the two o'clock tour so the docent was able to spend extra time with us. The house is a step back in time. Per the wishes of the last owner everything remains as it was. Great stop in Georgetown

This was a beautiful venue for a wedding. Less one star because they really made things difficult for the wedding planning/event, very strict rules and people walking around the place while we were getting ready. That said, the rules I can understand, it is a museum after all! The place itself will be an amazing memory of the day. The... More

We got to visit two beautiful old homes in Georgetown, SC The first was the Kaminski House Museum This is one of the few museum homes with all the furniture intact from the period of the American Revolution to the early 70's. Everything is loving cared for, and tended to. Our guide was Sue, very knowledgeable and had a sense... More

We visited this home while visiting myrtle beach and didn't really know anything about the house. We had the best time. It is a guided tour and the lady was so nice and very interesting. The house itself is beautiful. The only bad part is not being able to take pictures. The price isn't bad and its worth every penny.... More
