Georgetown has an interesting past starting in 1520 from the Spanish & the Indians before. This tour whets your appetite to explore more & gives you an appreciation of all that Georgetown has to offer historically. Tour could take a full day to learn more about this great City & area although the tiny seats in the tram trailer pulled... More

Plan on relaxing and enjoying one hour of history in the 3rd oldest city in SC. The Swamp Fox Tours (with tour guide and tram driver, Lloyd) gives the story of a town built on rice and progressive ideals. In the pre Civil War days Georgetown allowed and encouraged all its citizens to attend church services together as well as... More

This tour came highly recommended by a friend that had taken it a few times before. However, the quality and placement of the speaker was absolutely horrible. We probably heard less than 20% of the narrative. We asked the guide to turn up the volume and he said it was at maximum. The audible quality may have been better if... More

A jeep pulled tram tour of the historic houses of Georgetown. Very interesting better than just driving around looking. Not expensive

2nd trip to SC low-country & beach was out due to weather. Decided on Georgetown rather than Charleston, from Garden City area. Did a "walk/drive around" on cool afternoon 04/01/13 & enjoyed wonderful meal on harbor. Returned next a.m. for Swamp Fox tour. LOVED it! Interesting, educational, & comfortable. Due to inclement weather, did not return for another day as... More

My parents recommended that we visit Georgetown because they knew that I loved old houses and history. I fell in love with Georgetown. We visited on a Thursday and it was fairly quiet. We decided to get an overview with a tram tour and then go back and visit what we liked best. Great decision. The tour was an hour... More

Our tour guide was amusing, but very knowledgable. The tram was comfortable but requires a step to get in and out. This old harbor city is a gem.

We did this tour yesterday with my 2 daugthers. I'm glad we did as it made our visit to georgetown quite instructive and fun. It was hot in the trolley, but otherwise, we quite enjoyed it. The narrative was a mix of history, romance and ghost stories. The guide was knowledgeable and fun. I would say it's about 1 hour... More

The Swamp Fox tour of Georgetown costs $10 per person and runs every hour on the hour from 10 AM until 4 PM. There is a Jeep that pulls a "tram" which will seat 14. The house, built in 1925, is known as Bienvenue and is loaded with items/souvenirs to purchase. Tickets are purchased inside the house. Brian was our... More
