It was one of the best afternoons I have ever spent! Informative and entertaining. History lessons galore! I disliked Myrtle Beach, but I would return to take another of Captain Rod's tours!

This tour to the lighthouse has a bit of everything. History, boat ride, sandy beaches and lots of shells. The captain added a bit of entertainment to the history lesson and made the boat ride out to the lighthouse island very memorable. We had no trouble finding seashells as well as seeing a dolphin as we were pulling up to... More

My family (party of 6) went on Cap'n Rod's tour today and we were very pleasantly surprised! The trip to shell island was the biggest hit! We found a ton of beautiful shells! My kids LOVED THIS (ages 3 and 4). We ended up seeing a pod of dolphins, several alligators, a bald eagle and nest. Overall we would do... More

Cap'n Rod, Ms. Fran and Chris were amazing. This was our first trip to S.C. and we had a blast on the 4 hr. lighthouse tour. Cap'n Rod was very polite, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the history of Georgetown and S.C. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to spend a few hours. He gave... Our family took a 400 trip and enjoyed every minute of the travel. The captain was enthused and humorous as he gave the history of plantations , revolutionary war sites, civil war sites, native plants ,animals , dolphins ,birds. It's a neat inlet with delopment growing yet loads of preservation / wilderness land surrounding the shores .Shelling was fun and the... More

Captain Doug and his son Luke were great tour guides. It was a nice relaxing ride with dolphins, lighthouses and a trip to an island for shells. I recommend you go!!

This was my third time going on this tour. Yes there is some BIG shells but you have to be a treasure hunter and search for them. Sometimes in the water, sometimes just on the sandy beach. The area has a lot of history too. Each time we have had Captain Doug and his son Luke and they have always... More

We live in Pawleys Island, near Georgetown, SC and had family in town for the 4th of July weekend. We took the 9 am tour out of Georgetown with Capt. Doug and Luke. Reservations were taken by Ms. Fran, she is a sweetie. There are very inexpensive softdrinks/water and snacks on board and restrooms. The weather and water were stunning.... More

We went on the tour today with Captain Doug. My family loved every minute of it! We got to see dolphins on our way back and it just topped of the whole special experience. Captain Doug even stopped the boat so everyone could see the dolphins. This tour is definitely something you should do when visiting SC.
