Two years ago we took this tour and it was the highlight of our trip. We repeated the tour this year and the tri was, again, the highlight of our week. Georgetown is wonderful!

Captain Rob is very entertaining and will spin a story of the past from 1700s to present. The area is rich in history and he brings it to life. The 3 hr Bay and Plantation tour is so worth it.

We can't begin to explain how fantastic our Lighthouse tour and sea shell tour was. Captain Rod and his wife are sweet and went out of their way to make our private tour exceptional. Finding shells as big as your hand was breathtaking. The history the Captain told us was fascinating and seeing the 10 bald eagles...and the dolphins....magical! We... More

They have a couple tours to choose from. We chose the Hobcaw Barony over the other tour that I understand included the beach and lighthouse, but I'm sure that one is just as great especially after talking to a few other folks who took it the day before. Not only was the captain and crew knowledgeable, they made it just... More

This was the best way to end of our vacation! Capt'n Ron is a incredibly knowledgeable & charismatic man. The stories and history of the tour were amazing & a great learning experience. We, as a family, enjoyed every aspect of the tour. It's so nice to see that people still care about the environment & helping others in need.... More

My husband and I drove about an hour south from North Myrtle Beach to take the Plantation Tour with Cap'n Rod. We were not disappointed! Having never driven to Georgetown before, we left early and arrived in time to have lunch and enjoy a walk along the docks and the quaint town's Front Street. We were welcomed warmly upon checking... Take a break from Ocean Blvd. and venture south to Georgetown to learn about the unique environment and history of the area. Captain Rod is a terrific mix of science, history, storytelling, and humor! He'll make you feel safe while also making sure you have the time of your life. The boat is comfortable and suited for sunny or rainy... More

This was one of the best parts about our vacation. You will need to call ahead and make reservations because the tour is usually packed. The tour takes you past old plantations, and out to a beautiful island with a lighthouse, beautiful beaches, and a photographer's dream. You have an hour to tour the island. Cap'n Rod will give you... More
