My family and I took the 2:00 pm tour today with Captain Doug. This proved to be a very interesting and enlightening tour. Capt. Doug shared his historical knowledge about his beloved city of Georgetown and the surrounding islands and water ways. The weather was beautiful and we all enjoyed the walk on North Island. My granddaughters found many great... More

Our voyage began with Captain Doug and his first mate Chris. I wasn't sure what to expect but Trip Advisor gave it a great review so my wife and kids and I decided to give it a try. The weather was perfect if you like hot and steamy...our trip set out at 4 pm for a 4 hour cruise. To... More

We went on the 4pm cruise on July 22nd. We were told we would be seeing dolphins and alligators along the cruise to North Island. Well, we saw 0 alligators and only 2 dolphins from a distance. Cap'n Rod was very well versed on the history of Georgetown. The 4 hour cruise was worth the cost 0f $33.00 each to... More

My daughter and I drove down from Myrtle Beach and this was well worth the drive! The boat was comfortable and our delightful Captain Doug captured us with historical stories that were as informational as entertaining! But the very best was the surprise waiting on Shell Island. We kicked off shoes and combed the beautiful beach on this wildlife preserve... More

This was a fabulous trip. Captain Rod knows his history, knows the waterways better than the back of his hand, knows all the ancestry of the people around him and loves sharing his wealth of knowledge with others. The boat ride is spectacular, coming down the river, into the Intercoastal, out toward the ocean with a stop at Shell Island.... More

We went on the last tour of the day. So the high tide was going down to low tide. Cap'n rod was funny. He told a lot about the history of the places and he made it fun for the little kids. But if u go I would recommend the morning bc by the last tour 4 groups have already... More

Cap'n Rod and Chris where great host for our trip out. Not only is this a sea shell trip to north island but also a trip through history about the area. Cap'n Rod is very knowledgeable on the many plantations and the their history as you pass by them on the way to the island.

Cap'n Rod is one of the smartest men I have ever met! He is so knowledgable about this area and I loved his stories! He is so good at it because he is the real deal and grew up in the area! Can't be replicated! Loved him and ms Fran! Good people and a really good tour and visit to... More

It is truly a three hour tour! Very interesting, and the boat captain was a wealth of information. The tour is a little pricey at $35. The seats got hard after about an hour and a half. There also was not much to look at except more dikes and breaks, and that got old after a while. I also would... More

My mom and I booked a tour to Shell Island. Cap'n Rod is very personable and knowledgeable about the area. Shell Island was fun to look around on for seashells. It's a fun tour for people who like history and nature. Highly Recommend
