We absolutely love this pier. It is completely free to walk on (which is not always the case). In addition to the pier itself there is a pier cafe where you can eat breakfast/lunch/dinner and have a view of the ocean. The food is basically like any greasy spoon or Waffle House but you can sit and look at the... More

You can park under the pier and walk on he pier for free which is very nice! The umbrellas are a nice touch too. Built-in fishing chairs, nice arcade, gift shop, bar, make this pier a definite win!!

This is a great location is you don't care the Myrtle Beach crowds. There is an arcade at the pier and just across the street. Several souvenier stores are there too. The best thing I liked was the pier had benches you could sit at with unbrella's to keep the sun off you. They were nicely spaced. At the end... More

My husband and I really appreciated that there was no charge to walk along the pier. We have been to other beach destinations that charge a fee just to take a walk. During our week long Garden City vacation, we visited numerous times. We often would include a walk to end of the pier as part of our early morning... More

Live music on both ends of the pier and karaoke at specific times at night. We love it here. It's fun to listen to the music and people watch. It might not be too kid friendly because alcohol is served so keep that in mind if you have children you're thinking about taking. We didn't fish any off the pier... More

With a bar at each end, plenty of space for fishing, an arcade and a ice cream parlor this pier has something for everyone. The bars are fun with the one at the start having karaoke early in the evening and the one on the end live bands in the evening. Great place for adults. Kids will enjoy the arcade... More

Going down to the pier at Garden City is always fun. There are two bands that play (in the summer)...one at the end of the pier and one back by the tackle shop. Usually the bands are pretty good and fun to listen to. Shark watching is also fun out at the end of the pier. If you watch long... More

The Pier at Garden City is probably a tradition to most beach goers when staying down at Myrtle, Garden City or Murrells Inlet. You can start off in the arcade, move to renting fishing gear, or walk up and down the pier. Daytime pier walking is great because you can see forever. At night time, there is usually a band... More

Just visited the pier two days ago as I do every year. Fishing was 9.50 a person, two rod limit. Great live music at night to entertain while you wait for the fish to bite. My only complaint is that the pier is too crowded at the very end so if you like to fish there, as I do, you... More
