I have visited this pier every year for over 20 years. There is no charge to walk on the pier. You can check out the people fishing and most of them will show you what they catch. The staff inside is very nice and accommodating. Also offer a small store and arcade. This is a must visit when you are... More

My husband and I go fishing at this pier quite often. We always see a new catch every time we come. It can get overcrowded, so the earlier you get there, the better. The pier has passes that are good for 24 hours. We haven't had much success night fishing, but we've only tried that two or three times. However,... More

I like this pier because you don't have to pay to walk on it and in the summer they always have live music at the tacked shop area and also at the end of the pier. Fishing is great here because is longer pier than Surfside Pier. Is kids friendly and lots of fun. Employees are friendly.. This is must... More

You have to pay to fish off the pier, but it's worthwhile. You occasionally see jellyfish floating by. The day we went there had been a fishing tournament. We saw a 6ft shark checking out the lines, which is why the pier limits the type of baits used.

The Garden City Pier is an enjoyable diversion - you can walk out on the pier to watch the fisherfolk for free, and in the evenings they typically have a band playing. Garden City is a rather quiet sleepy town, so having a little action on the pier is a good diversion. They also sell bait and rent out fishing... More

Nice way to spend the evening with live entertainment. There is a covered area if the weather does not cooperate.

I have been coming here for over 20 years and year after year it lives up to my high expectations. Where else can you get cold drinks in a bar atmosphere with a live band while checking out whats biting at the same time?

this place is a real throwback. very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours doing nothing. We enjoyed watching and listening to the fishermen in the mornings hauling in fish at the end of the pier.

Came in July and there was much more going on than when I brought my kids in October. The pier is a nice walk for looking at the ocean.. but the arcade is run down and the bathrooms are down right yucky.
