Wonderful wonderful perigrination, circumnavigation of Charleston onboard The Pluffmudder (a decommissioned Navy Personnel Carrier) with Captain Anton DuMars and Phil, FIrst Mate of Tideline Tours. From Sunset Cay up the Folly River to Morris Island, through the creeks of James Island and into the Harbor (where the Ashley River meets the Cooper River to form the Atlantic Ocean), past Fort... We took the Salt Marsh tour with a stop at Morris Island. Captain Phil shared his vast experience with us as well as his excellent singing voice!

If you are staying in or around Folly/Charleston, do yourself a favor and book a trip with Tideline. Took our family of 7 out last week and was a nice 2 hour trip of exploring the area, learning some history, seeing wildlife and shelling on Morris Island with a great view of the lighthouse. Captain Phil is a vast book... More

It is the best two hours you will spend on your vacation. so much fun and so informative. You will see all kinds of wildlife and hear about the history of the area. Really recommended for children, the three kids on our boat were engaged the entire time.

Had a great time on Tidewater dolphin tour today. Saw many dolphins and learned about marsh areas' importance. Our party had 69-, 42-, and an 8-year-old and it was fun for all.

We had a wonderful time and Captain Phil was very fun and knowledgeable. He made it interesting as we learned about the area and the ecology, so the kids learned things as well. Getting to see the dolphins was a plus. Well and well organized. Would do it again. Walking on the island and seeing the lighthouse towards sunset was... More

We took an early morning tour into the marsh areas, rivers and Morris Island with Capt Phil. He gave us lots of great knowledge about the local area and wildlife. We saw lots of dolphins including baby dolphins and a nice stop on Morris Island to see the lighthouse and shell collecting. It was a lovely trip and would be... More

So, Capt. Phil sat ten of us down in his pretty, clean 24' Carolina Skiff, shoved off and started his safety spiel while we slowly exited the beautiful Folly back marsh creeks. For two hours we rode along marshes, watching dolphins cavort, observing egrets and pelicans just yards away. All the while, Capt. Phil kept a running commentary that encompassed... More

I had family in town this week and to celebrate my birthday, a mix of family & friends (12 in all) brought finger foods and beverages along for a sunset cruise aboard Tidelines. Captain Phil was so professional: he told us what we needed to do to stay safe, and then gave us a great time! Stories about the history,... More
