We were hoping for a nice sunny beach week on Edisto but alas, we had chilly and rainy weather, although much better than the New England weather we escaped. We made the best of it by exploring the area after we went on this tour. Marie did a great job telling us the history of Edisto. We went to other... More

Marie took a van load of us on a 2 1/2 hr. tour of the area. She is a native of Edisto and well-versed in the local lore. She stopped at 2 plantations and allowed us to walk around a bit and answered all questions, to the best of her knowledge. We also visited 2 churches which are well maintained... More

The Pink Van tour is great! The tour guide has lived on the island all of her life and knows every nook and cranny. She tells the history and stories of this amazing island (that can be in two hours).Shows you a few plantations and old churches and all the beauty the island has.

Marie is a wonderful tour guide. The tour lasts 3 hours and we learned a lot about the island and its history. We visited historic plantation homes and lovely churches, she provided cold bottled water in the van for everyone and she even brought home made cookies for one of the stops. The price is very reasonable for an interesting... More

Marie is FABULOUS! It was such fun learning more about the plantations that aren't generally accessible to the public, as a result of Marie's -- a local Edistonian -- intimate connections. I'm not sure what I enjoyed most: the historic plantation homes and the stories surrounding them or the equally breathtaking churches with their fascinating stories as well. Marie even... More

Really enjoyed this tour that gave lots of historical information about Edisto. The tour was led by someone who grew up in the area. Being first time visitors to Edisto and planning to spend 4 weeks a year there, we wanted to know more about the early years of this beautiful barrier island. Marie who did the tour was great.... Great way to spend 2 1/2 hours in Edisto Beach. Marie is sweet, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the history of Edisto Island. You get to see and learn about parts of the area you could not experience on your own. Well worth the price.

I am so glad I took this tour. It gives you a wonderful background on the Island and their life here. Marie is very well informed on the history and adds wonderful personal anecdote to her tour. It is reasonably priced and comfortable. I think the local flavor added so much more than the typical "trolley tour" can.

My daughter and I had a very enjoyable morning with both Marie and Jan. The group was too large to accommodate all the guests in the van so they took two vehicles to ensure our comfort and not pack us in like sardines. We were in the SUV with Jan who is an island native and a wonderful storyteller of... More

Awesome and interesting adventure thru Edisto Island. Great historical stories and OMG the plantations are beautiful. Can't even describe the 100 year old oaks that just take your breathe away.
