We visited here today the park is easily accessible from the highway & the beach is close to the parking area. Edisto Beach isn't very wide here but it is loaded with seashells. We saw several protected loggerhead turtle nests. The park has a turtle tour a few nights each week. The restroom facilities could use a major upgrade but... More

First time camping at Edisto Beach State Park. You need to book your reservation 13 months in advance, but well worth the wait. The camping sites are large and level. Great access to the beach (which is relatively empty). Biking trails are well maintained and shady:) Convenient to a Bi-Lo grocery store (but very over-priced) and some good local restaurants.... The bike paths are short but really beautiful and all shaded. It was a perfect little journey on a hot day.

We were there in May 2015 and June 215. May was superb. Not many people, tons of shells different sizes; whelk, oyster, sand dollars. The beach, literally for miles, was covered in shells. No bugs to be had either. Cost $5.00 per person to enter the State Park. Great shaded picnic areas before accessing the beach. Bathroom facility was clean... More

This was our favorite campground . For years we came twice a year staying 10 days at a time. This year they have raised the prices which is fine but cut services. The bathhouse was not kept at all. Many days no toilet paper, only two toilets worked. They lacked cleaning. Staff was very unresponsive to request. They used to... More

We came on a weekday in early June. There was plenty of room to spread out as the beach was not crowded. There is no lifeguard on duty, so do exercise caution. There is a changing area adjacent to the restrooms near the beach. You can walk to a shop with ice cream and a sandwich shop from the beach.... More

My mom rents a week every summer to stay in her camper at the campground. It's such a lovely beach, and we always meet lovely people when we stay here. We took a little educational tour one evening to some of the turtle nests and learned about the turtles here at Edisto. Year after year, Edisto never disappoints.

Quaint and Quiet. Just what the Doctor ordered. The island is very laid back and not commericalized. Weather was quite nice.If you are looking for a wonderful day on the beach with very little activity it is hard to beat.

Fun and interactive animal feed with a snake and alligator. Interesting and informative interpretive center with neat artifacts and hands in display. A fun way to spend a few hours. The young guide and center director was bright, creative and very knowledgeable. Personal interactions were great.
