We stayed in cabin 5, we have 2 small children and with a bedroom, Murphy bed in the living area and pull out couch in the dining area, there were plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen had nice, newer appliances. There is also a dining room table and a tv with satellite cable so the layout was very family... More

Our second time back. We love this place! Nowhere near the crowds of other popular SC beaches. Miles and miles of beach. Hard packed sand near the water's edge great for biking. We stayed at the Live Oak Campground this year (couldn't get reservations for the beach campground. Actually liked the Live Oak CG better. Prettier and bigger sites. A... More

The programs at the ELC wrote a real hit with our boys. Fish feeding, touch tank, and fossil talk were the perfect way to spend a few hours on a drizzly day. Ranger "Ash" loves his job and it shows B-)

I came here with a couple friends for the first time from charleston. None of us were expecting what we would find when we arrived at this beach. We all assumed that this place would be crowded like the other beaches around charleston but when we got here there were few people between all the stations. The beach we was... More

Great place to visit. If you walk beyond the park and across the inlet at low tide, you can find shells of all sizes. Wearing water shoes or other footwear is must due to the number of shells and the oyster beds. I was disappointed on this trip due to the number of golf carts that were on the beach... More

Fabulous Park to visit. I have spent many days here surfing as it is probably the best break on Edisto Island. Nice picnic areas and tables. Camping sites stay booked a year in advance so call early. Beach is nice an natural.

The beach is small, there are a couple of restaurants around the area, if you don't camp at the campground you have to pay to go to the state park. It is $5 per person. Nice place for couples. Beach was crowded and when it is high tide, there is very little room on the beach. You can schedule to... More

The drive was about 90 minutes from my home, but so worth it! Beautiful drive, light traffic, and plenty of parking and beach space. Tons of beautiful pelicans as well!

When visiting the SC coast we always schedule a nighttime "Turtle Walk" at Edisto State Park. This year was the third time we've done it and it was the charm because we came upon a turtle digging her nest in the sand. You must stand back while they are digging for they are easily disturbed and will crawl back to... More

To enter the park with few minutes excursion (here is nothing to do more than few minutes because absolutely the same beach and absolutely for free just in ONE minute of walk) will cost you $5 per person. Entering the same park from ocean side cost you nothing. To pay for park visit with just a short walk around to... More
