My friends and I visited this park one day recently and thoroughly enjoyed a hike out to the water and back. The folks in the info area were kind to orient us first timers. We saw a number of dolphins in the marshy area as they slowly worked along the shoreline. The natives midden was interested. Lots of birds and... More

This place is drop dead gorgeous. Giant ferns, Spanish moss galore, huge live oak trees. The Park Ranger are most helpful.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin - very clean and well appointed with a partial view of the salt marsh. Kitchen is full service size and well equipped. Bathroom has updated features and is of an adequate size. The ranger staff were friendly and helpful. There are some larger cabins and several RV sites in the park and then... More

Absolutely loved this park. Most sites on the beach campground were 50 yards from the ocean, can hear the waves all night long. Bathhouses just ok. Will come back for sure.

We had hoped to get a place in the beach campground, but wound up on the marsh side. Turned out to be a very nice place. Very private with trees and shrubs all around, and very quiet. Best part was the many bike trails which all started at the campground. Wide and firm, they took us several miles each day... More

We stayed at Edisto Beach in a house. We decided to go to the park. We were surprised that it cost money to get in. I didn't mind so much, since I have no issues helping State Parks, since government funding is mostly lacking. However, I was surprised to see that it was basically a parking lot with beach access.... More

we camped one night in the Live Oak Campground. It was nice with a new bath house and electric and water. Our ATT phone service was consistent at 2-3 bars. They even had an ice cream truck that came through camp. Since it was on the cool side we did not have ice cream! The beach area is not accessible... More

We tent camped in the rustic camping area. Which was perfect. Not to far of a walk but just far enough away to feel like we were away from everything. We camped with our 7 year old daughter and another couple that had two small children. The rustic sites are on the marsh and big enough for two families to... More

The beach campground is lovely! Shopping is very limited, no launderettes. Go prepared. Coming back!

Tent camped at the live oaks section of the park. Loved the campsite...loved the beach....the bathrooms were clean and even had a fan....a plus since it was 100°. The staff is very welcoming and laid back.....got boiled peanuts from a little truck that came through the campsite....only issue was...make sure to get rid of trash or put in your car... More
