To enter the park with few minutes excursion (here is nothing to do more than few minutes because absolutely the same beach and absolutely for free just in ONE minute of walk) will cost you $5 per person. Entering the same park from ocean side cost you nothing. To pay for park visit with just a short walk around to... More

Edisto is a kind of hidden gem in the array of SC beaches - its commercial enough to be near Charleston and other attractions, but remote enough that you won't be jostling for a place to lay out your towel.

Actually visited in June of 2014, but that's as far back as it would let me select ;) We stayed in one of the "cabins" (more like a cottage, in my opinion!) on our honeymoon. People thought we were a little crazy for getting a cabin on our honeymoon, when most people are looking for something luxurious. We just wanted... More

They offer these on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 8:45. This was my third time going and while I did see a turtle laying eggs the first two times, I didn't see one this year. It is still a beautiful walk; the stars are amazing. There is a $15/person fee for the walk.

The State Park was very crowded the day we went, but the beach is literally *covered* with seashells. Wear sneakers! Nice facility, a few picnic tables, shady, good restrooms. Worth a stop if the kids are getting tired of the beach near your rental!

Having been a Myrtle Beach junkie all my life this place was a nice change. The only downfall was a sloped beach. Being a runner I love the beaches at Myrtle. Even at high tide you have beach space to run. This beach allowed you to have dogs(on leash mind you). They have a modest area for cookouts, with plenty... More

This is a great beach for those looking for shells! There are so many different kind here! Not too crowded, close to MANY restaurants and shops as well as a Grocery store that carries all your beach needs you may have forgotten (beach chairs, toys, etc...). It also has changing rooms, bathrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off. This was... More

The visitor center is beautiful. Interpreters were knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must see place, especially for children. There is little else to do in the area, so go.

This beach is FAR less crowded than those at Hilton Head. The beach is less developed, no lifeguards. However, there are a lot of sea shells. It was nice for a more peaceful beach stroll.

We visited here today the park is easily accessible from the highway & the beach is close to the parking area. Edisto Beach isn't very wide here but it is loaded with seashells. We saw several protected loggerhead turtle nests. The park has a turtle tour a few nights each week. The restroom facilities could use a major upgrade but... More
