My family and I took the short (appx 2 hr) drive from our vacation rental in Hilton Head. Reservations and prepayment were required. We had some difficulties finding the meet up place but an on duty ranger number was provided so we were able to call him and get redirected. There were 2 parties that had not arrived when we... More

Awesome bike trails that are SHADED and actually cool, even up until noon. You can ride your bike from camp (live oak section is best) a short way to the ocean to the little town of Edisto Beach to find great food at FINN'S ISLAND GRILL. They are brand new and fabulous! Seating is upstairs with huge windows on the... More

We enjoyed the beach at the state park; it was uncrowded, clean, quiet, with nearby changing rooms, restrooms, free wifi. The water was clean and bathtub warm with gentle waves, no boardwalk, no boom boxes, no loud people. Very relaxing! We spent hours on the beach each day of our stay. We had no kitchen access where we stayed, so... More

We stayed in the Live Oak campground for 4 nights. I had read several reviews after booking, and was nervous about our stay, as all the beach camping had already filled up when we made our reservation. While the Live Oak area was "buggy," we were able to keep the mosquitos away with candles and bug sprays. The campground was... More

We stayed at Edisto for the first time. Very nice campground, lots of trees in the Live Oak part, decent shower house and clean beach!

This place is our own special piece of heaven. Love the beach and the edislow mentality.....we hate leaving here more then when we left Maui.

The park itself is very nice and most people are very friendly. If all you want to do is sit on the beach or sit around the camp site this place is great for you! If you get bored easily and like to do things while on vacation I would not recommend this park or anywhere on edisto island

We went tent camping and were very happy with the facilities. Great site, clean bathrooms and showers, friendly staff. It was super close to the beach, a half mile bike ride, and beach parking was free with your park camping pass. They are also several hiking/bike trails right near the sites. We visited the Spanish mound, a n ancient midden... More

I went here to look for shells and it didn't disappoint. Very peaceful, family oriented beach on a state park. Great for an afternoon or a longer stay.
