This state park has two main areas. One has a large campground area with nature trails that snake through the forest and marsh and the other portion sits right on the beach. Both parts of this park are beautiful. On the trail side, we walked along the marsh and saw tons of birds and other wildlife. The trails feature a... More

This is the perfect beach for collecting shells! I was amazed at the amount and varieties! We are planning a return trip in a few weeks to take the kids!

I have walked the beach many times on our visits to the Island. Usually I was alone. I was able to sturdy and enjoy the wildlife both in and out of the water at my leisure. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet time I recommend the Edisto shore in February.

Edisto Beach is a lovely unspoiled beach in a much less developed beach community. It is beautiful, great views with no high rises. There are so many shells here, great beach for exploring and shelling. A great beach to visit. There is a nice campground in this park, we didn't use it but it is right next to the beach,... More

This is a lovely spot. We just bought an Airstream and were looking for a place to test it. The campground was fantastic - beautiful spaces that are really room and offer a good amount of privacy. The setting is wonderful - just a short walk to a gorgeous, unspoiled beach. Also, really loved the staff; nice people!

Edisto Beach is one of the best shelling and fossiling beaches in the US. It is mush less developed and I hope it stays that way. It is a laid back island and if you are lucky and search along the shore you might find some great shells. I found a Giant Sloth leg bone ( authenticated by a paleontologist)... More

My Husband and I thought it would be romantic to throw a just married sign on the tent, and do some camping on the beach. It was awesome! The beach is gorgeous, uncrowded, and just beautiful. The campsites were pretty private, and on the other side of the dunes. We listened to the waves crashing against the tide every night.... More

I went to Edisto Beach right after a tropical storm in October. The park is very nice, it did have a lot of debris but workers were fast at work cleaning the area up. It is family friendly and a great place to go!

Our two month stay was all we could have expected and then some. Although there were renovations being made to upgrade the Park, we were never lacking for anything. The hardworking crew kept the park up to par. The Park itself can keep you busy with its many trails, Learning Center, and beach, but there are ample things to do... More
