Stayed for four nights in a full hookup site at the campgrounds near the ocean. Water, electric, etc. all worked with no problems. Campsite was level with some shade. Enjoyed being able to walk to the beach (about 150 yards). Grocery, restaurants, etc. were very close by.

Average beach for this area. Botany Bay beach is where you want to go if you are in the area, unless it is a family event.

Edisto Beach is a beautiful place to visit. The wildlife is fascinating. We were there for 3 days and saw deer, turtles, all kinds of birds, fish jumping in the ocean, dolphins, horse shoe crabs and live sand dollars in the ocean. We used the park access and beach on our last day since we had to check out early... More

Quiet area to visit, granted we visited after Labor Day. Beach was beautiful. We paid $5 per adult, parked and walked to the beach. Short walk with bathrooms, changing rooms and outside shower for rinsing the beach off. Very clean, shady areas, picnic tables and grills. Also, great family area. Found some big shells.

I've never seen so many shells in on place before, there were thousands of them. This is a quite beach and non commercial, no board walks or hotels. Its a residential beach- great for chilling out.

We have lived in South Carolina in 16 years and never went to Edisto until this past weekend and we are hooked!!! We arrived on Friday Labor Day weekend. Our site was site 65 beach side. Made the reservations not knowing what the campground layout is. When we arrived we had a pull thru site. My husband was not happy... More

We stayed in cabin 5, we have 2 small children and with a bedroom, Murphy bed in the living area and pull out couch in the dining area, there were plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen had nice, newer appliances. There is also a dining room table and a tv with satellite cable so the layout was very family... More

Our second time back. We love this place! Nowhere near the crowds of other popular SC beaches. Miles and miles of beach. Hard packed sand near the water's edge great for biking. We stayed at the Live Oak Campground this year (couldn't get reservations for the beach campground. Actually liked the Live Oak CG better. Prettier and bigger sites. A... More

The programs at the ELC wrote a real hit with our boys. Fish feeding, touch tank, and fossil talk were the perfect way to spend a few hours on a drizzly day. Ranger "Ash" loves his job and it shows B-)

I came here with a couple friends for the first time from charleston. None of us were expecting what we would find when we arrived at this beach. We all assumed that this place would be crowded like the other beaches around charleston but when we got here there were few people between all the stations. The beach we was... More
