Had a great time riding the trails on our mountain bikes. They are well kept and great for people who don't need hills, roots, and any other obstacles.

Located on the coast of South Carolina, Edisto Beach State Park is 50 miles south of Charleston. There are lots of hiking trails and for walking on the beach, or looking for shells, this is the place to go. Great for families with kids. There are cabins for rent and camping with facilities are available. The entrance to the park... More

The park is clean and well maintained, there is plenty of shade with picnic tables as well as a nice pavilion. Though I haven't stayed, the campground has some prime sites, just across the dune from the beach. Now for the beach... It is one of the quieter beaches in the Charleston area, this is due, by my estimation, to... More

Best shelling I have seen, honestly. This place had CRAZY amounts of shells on it. It is a little steep at low tide, but overall very nice and relatively quiet

I really can not say enough good things about this campground! I have stayed in both live oak and the beach sections and both are very nice. The rest rooms at live oak are larger with more stalls and more hot water. Being steps from the beach make the beach campground my first choce...you just have to be ready to... More

The State Park is situated just over the dunes which are protected areas for the Loggerback turtles. We did not see any turtles because it was too early in the spring. The camp is older and the two bathrooms are older. One was being renovated while the state park camping was almost completely full. The campground is located between the... More

Beach access with restrooms, two campgrounds, rustic and beautiful the way everything on Edisto is! The beach front area has a lovely picnic area under the palms and the Live Oak section has wonderful nature trails to walk and bike. Close by is the Environmental Learning Center with tank animals you can touch and watch feedings (on schedule), a bird... More

Starting at Finn's and heading north, there are miles of pretty beach to walk and explore. Right next to the store, there are an unbelievable amount of shells, mostly oyster, that are fun to pick through. After the small breakwater, there is a nice beach with a gentle slope that is great for younger children. At low tide, walk north... More

loved the beach campground. Really not a bad site in the loop. We were on #66 marsh side, but it was right near the bathhouse and beach access. Could literally throw a rock a hit the sand! For a beach campground, we thought the sites had plenty of space between them. All employees were super nice, Love the fact that... More
