I really can not say enough good things about this campground! I have stayed in both live oak and the beach sections and both are very nice. The rest rooms at live oak are larger with more stalls and more hot water. Being steps from the beach make the beach campground my first choce...you just have to be ready to... More

The State Park is situated just over the dunes which are protected areas for the Loggerback turtles. We did not see any turtles because it was too early in the spring. The camp is older and the two bathrooms are older. One was being renovated while the state park camping was almost completely full. The campground is located between the... More

Beach access with restrooms, two campgrounds, rustic and beautiful the way everything on Edisto is! The beach front area has a lovely picnic area under the palms and the Live Oak section has wonderful nature trails to walk and bike. Close by is the Environmental Learning Center with tank animals you can touch and watch feedings (on schedule), a bird... More

Starting at Finn's and heading north, there are miles of pretty beach to walk and explore. Right next to the store, there are an unbelievable amount of shells, mostly oyster, that are fun to pick through. After the small breakwater, there is a nice beach with a gentle slope that is great for younger children. At low tide, walk north... More

loved the beach campground. Really not a bad site in the loop. We were on #66 marsh side, but it was right near the bathhouse and beach access. Could literally throw a rock a hit the sand! For a beach campground, we thought the sites had plenty of space between them. All employees were super nice, Love the fact that... More

Let me start by saying this: I am a priority club member with IHG and I have never slept outside!! My husband camped as a child at Edisto and wanted our boys to try it. We decided to go kind of last minute and we purchased a tent and sleeping bags and headed on our 3 hour trip to get... More

Campsites are level & generously sized. The ocean is close enough to hear the waves from all campsites. Water & electricity (30A) are provided at most sites. Two facilities with wash basins, showers & toilets service the entire campground. Normally, this would be barely adequate & during our visit, one of the two was out-of-service. One facility for the large... More

Nice size park. Pay one play and you can go to all their locations. If you like to hike, there are lots of trails. if you like that romantic walk on the beach, or looking for shells, this is the place to go.

Overall, this is a great state park that is split into two areas, both beautiful. The beach is very clean with facilities, and the marsh area is just as serene. My wife and I stayed in cabin #4, which was the perfect size, included nice furnishings, full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom (shower stall). The location in the woods is very... More

We camped at site 69 on the Beachfront side of the park. This is not actually Beachfront. You cannot see the water from your camper. But you can hear the waves and that is what makes it so nice. This site is right next to the beach path so you are very close. It is a very short walk to... More
