Fantastic. If you like reptiles you will love this place. Snakes and Gators. This is a great attraction for a laid back non commercialized beach like Edisto.

What a great day adventure. We got to watch snakes hunt their prey and eat, we got to feed the turtles. The whole place is so great!

Friends were looking for something different for the afternoon. Stopped by here and quite enjoyed the exhibits. Alligators are the main attraction with some quite large former residents of the island now spending their day on exhibit. Variety is snakes and turtles are also there. They run a venom collection program for making serum for snake bites. Exhibits and presentations... More

It's a great experience for kids -- both young and older -- along with adults. Inside, you will see dozens of snakes and other reptiles safely separated from you by glass-enclosed cages. There is also a live show where one of the senior employees of the facility handle snakes and allow people to touch them. Outside, you will find safely... More

The serpentarium has some snakes you will never see if not here. They have beautiful exhibits for the larger snakes, but it was disappointing to see some of the smaller snakes in very small glassed in enclosures with maybe a branch to climb on. They did all appear to be well cared for, but i just thought they didn't have... More

We went on a Saturday when they feed the snakes. My kids loved seeing the handlers tossing mice into the open enclosures and the snakes stalking the prey. They also have huge alligators and very large snakes. Great fun!

Edisto has so much to offer, the serpentarium is no exception. Lots to see and learn, great staff, very clean and professional. Be sure to stay for or call ahead to attend the shows...both alligator and snake. Great experiences for all ages who like learning more about nature.

Educational, involving, something fun to do that we can't do back home. A little pricy, but an all around solid family fun activity. My kids loved holding a baby alligator and Python and watching the gators feed.
