This is a beautiful park, kept up very nicely. It would be great for families to come visit if it wasn't so full of homeless people. This is the place they stay at in Columbia.

It is a sad state when you have to listen to foul language, wade your way through homeless people and see a park that has deteriorated into a homeless shelter. I would not take my children there. The city of Columbia should be ashamed.

The waterfall and green space are a nice idea. The only thing that bothered me about this park was the amount of homeless people and possible safety concerns,

It is a lovely place with a lake, falls, birds, benches to have a rest and with a beautiful city view. It is worth a visit even if you have just a little time. It is true that there are some homeless people there, but at the "worst" they just greeted us nicely, and were not disturbing actually when we... More

Finley Park is located near the center of government and commerce in the Capitol City of Columbia, SC. It features large grassy areas, shade, a performance venue, restaurant (seasonal), and a landmark fountain cascading down at least 6 flights. Wonderful paths and views make it a favorite with children. Across the upper rim, porch swings line more walkways, providing a... More

I used to love to come here for the large swings at the top of the park on warm summer nights. This beautiful park has been taken over by the homeless, which is such a shame because it has always been a wonderful place. I hope that this will change for the better, and regular citizens be able to visit... More

We enjoy Finley Park in downtown Columbia. They do a summer concert series where you can bring your own chairs, and there are some food vendors or you may bring your own. Free family fun!

Went to this park on a Sunday afternoon in October because of its waterfall feature seen on this site. The park itself is quite nice with the waterfall feature which is really cool and the swinging benches and large open green space for picnic or playing games. However, the homeless like to congregate here and the park didn't feel all... More
