Photo shows a beautiful water feature. Disappointingly, there was no such thing. We saw a small handful of families using the park on Sunday, but we were far outnumbered by the homeless population. Even though no one approached us, we felt cautious, guarded, and unable to relax and enjoy the park. I would not reccommend a visit to this park.

This park in the midst of Columbia is a gem. Not too large, not too small. Paved paths make for easy walking. I always enjoy a waterfall, and the one in Finlay Park is very nice. There were people relaxing on park benches, Mothers pushing strollers, and a few joggers. Great way to spend a few hours.

If you like walking, you will like Finlay Park. If you want a quiet place to sit and meditate or to have picnic, you will enjoy this nice park, especially nice if you live in a busy, noisy city situation.

It was ok. Pretty fountain with interesting walkways surrounding it. Other than that, there wasn't much to see. Visited during the day, though it may be a nice view of the city at night.

Finlay Park is very nice with it's water streams flowing. It's a great place to walk and picnic to relax by the water.

The other reviews say it all. Yes, there will be homeless people. They won't bother you, but they'll be around. However, the idea of this beautiful park in downtown Columbia had the right intentions. It's not big, but there are some walking paths with really nice water features and fountains. You can snap a couple cool pictures here, and also... More

Come for 2 minutes to see the view of the city from the fountain, then go. Made the mistake of walking around for a few minutes. Found a playground with so-so equipment. Was not comfortable with the crowd - too many seedy-looking folks without kids hanging around for some unknown reason. And as I was watching my daughter on the... More

Whether you are visiting Columbia or live here, make sure to stop by this beautiful park in the city. It offers views of the city from the famous water fountain. Parking is decent, enough trails to run on around the park, endless space for picnics, and FREE!

Gorgeous fountain, nice walking trail, great venue for music and other festivals held in the park. Watch where you o and kept a weather eye out for the local undesirables. this is, after all, a park in a downtown and if you are an experienced traveler, you know what downtowns hold in store for the unwary.

It is everything the website pictures show it to be! Beautiful water cascades and vibrant beautifully green elephant ears! Shade over swings and beautifully green manicured lawn and you see people on blankets relaxed and just enjoying the day!!
