Downtown Cola park

Can be a nice place to hang out on a sunny day. Sometimes a large homeless presence though. They also host festivals and fairs in the park occasionally.

Great place for a break from downtown Columbia. Lots of steps, Great fountain and nice areas to sit and reflect.

This is a beautiful park. Loved the water falls and how this park was designed. The park was well kept, very clean and I felt safe. Its seems like it was at the heart of the city but still hardly any people visiting the park as I would assume they would to just have lunch. Nice place for back ground... More

This is a beautiful park in a great location downtown. The vistas here in the evening are amazing. But there are a lot of homeless people that litter the park and make it feel unsafe, typical of a metropolitan downtown area, I guess...and the gorgeous fountain needs an overhaul. There is a lot of undergrowth in it making it smell... More

We went to this park and I must admit - we were hesitant due to all the reviews of all the homeless people - however, I'm glad we didn't pass it up. It was a beautiful day and there were no homeless people there (at least not that we saw anyway). The fountain and waterfalls are beautiful and the view... More

This park could be so much better. It's home to a lot of homeless people which makes it very uncomfortable. I would like to enjoy myself without them staring to much or begging for money ( though I don't mind giving I can't give 5 or 6 times a day )

At over 20 years old now, the park is ready for some serious maintenance. It could be a lovely green space in the heart of the city, but the park is home to a lot of the homeless. There is a summer concert series held there, but safety is an issue after dark. The city is supposedly funding a facelift... More

We were staying with 3 kids and the hotel recommended this park to get the boys outside. First we parked and there was NO ramp or stroller access to get down, so we ended up having to carry our twins down VERY steep steps and my older son walked. there were a lot of homeless around, so I was a... The overlooks near the parking lot offer scenic views of the Columbia skyline. I visited twice to photograph the city--once late in the afternoon and again after dark. The park closes at 6:00 PM...but sunset in December is well before that. As in so many places throughout Columbia, the parking in the park is metered. It's not very expensive at... More

Drove over to the park on a sunny Monday afternoon. Fountains not working, park is much smaller than the photos suggest, and many homeless people hanging around. Didn't get out of my car.
