Put on your comfortable walking shoes! Very nice location for anything like walking, taking photos, seeing lots of others walking and even bike riding. You may also want to have a nice picnic with a friend in many different areas. Don't forget to go on this almost endless walk trail along the waterfront.

great for a leisurely walk along the riverfront - has benches for you to sit and and relax and enjoy the river and the scenery. Wonderful set up.

This is a great place to go for a walk with your dog or a run by yourself or just a nice walk. The park is well kept and we felt safe even though it was getting dark because of the presence of a ranger walking and patrolling the grounds. It has some nice bridge views of the rivers that... More

We have visited many times and always seem to enjoy more each time. Great place to enjoy a safe walk and experience nature as well. This is also an excellent place to take outdoor photos.

We had visited this park before a few years ago and now it is even better. Had a great walk, good paths, nice views and really loved the old water treatment plants. We later drove down/up? to the other end of the canal near the weir. Lots of work being done there so hope to visit again.

Riverfront Park may be hard to find. It is at the far western end of Laurel Street behind the large office building at the corner of Laurel and Huger St. Once you are in the parking lot the entrance to the park is at the lower end. Follow the asphalt path to the bridge and you are on the causeway... More

Nice walking path, lined with trees dedicated to various people. There is an old unused, abandoned water treatment building with equipment still in it that is a little creepy looking but open that you can walk around in. The entire area makes for GREAT photos in the right lighting. We saw a family of deer across the canal.

The Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park is a beautiful park in the middle of Downtown Columbia. A Free Park to all. Park your car at the top of the Canal and travel down the sidewalks to explore the beauty of nature. Wear walking shoes and cool clothing. The trees are in bloom right now along with the gorgeous view of... More

Great place to walk around exercise. Feels safe and there's a lot of space so you aren't bumping into others (at least the times I've gone).

For some reason I never realized this Riverfront Park was here. I had heard about it but never quite knew where it was. But when we finally took the time to find it, I was very pleased at what I found. The area around the historic canal and river have been redone with walking paths so everyone from serious runners...
