Safe and great for family

Great for walking and kayaking. My friend from Cali and I went walking there. We felt safe the entire time.

This isn't as scenic as the Riverwalk, but it has a nice trail for walking, running or biking, that goes along a canal. There are several historic markers the provide some interesting information about the earlier days of Columbia.

Great views and just a neat spot among the hustle and bustle of downtown. You can go here to walk off a great meal from one of the Vista restaurants. Park at museum or across the street

I took my kids here to just walk the trails and let them run around. They really love the open area along the river and canal to run and play in the grass. Lots of history here including a statue of Christopher Columbus along the Canal and a first hand look at an old water plant. Great place to walk,... More

Lots of history here. Very neat town. It was my first time to Columbia. Plenty of nice places to eat and good hotels. I think you need at least 2 days here!

It is a great running or biking path. Very scenic so you won't get bored. I would recommend water and a cloudy day lol. It was too hot out there when I went.

Very nice park. It is located near the Gervais Street Bridge on the Congaree River. There is a path at the park that runs between the river and the Columbia canal which people use for walking and running. The canal is dammed water from the Broad River which, when it meets the Saluda River, make the Congaree River. I drove... More

This was a nice stop for us. We did not spend too much time on the trail, but there were several bike riders and other trail walkers. We really wanted to see the canal and old pump room and dam. Although everything was viewable, it would have been nice to have more informational signs posted around the pump room so... More

This is a really nice 2 1/2 mile paved trail (out and back) just off Huger Street. Also a nice big open grassy area and amphitheater. At the start of the trail, it is a bit busier so you need to be a little more careful. It is open for walking, jogging, cyclists, dog walking, fishing, etc. There are some... More
