A surprising large and professionally maintained military museum, with artifacts from early colonial times up through all of our nation's conflicts to the present. Vehicles, weapons, uniforms... it's all here for the military history buff.

I think a lot of people don't know of this museum. Two of my relatives living in Columbia didn't. This museum has uniforms, guns, sea rations, etc. from every war. They have full size tanks. My husband is a Vietnam Vet and spent a very long time looking at everything.

Best military museum I've visited. Friendly staff, great displays and free. A must see. The museum was full of artifacts, firearms and transportation items used throughout the wars fought by the US , emphasizing South Carolina's role in these conflicts.

This museum is certainly a must see if you like military museums and the best thing is that it is free! Excellent layout that takes you through the different military campaigns that SC has been involved in and has a very impressive collection of artifacts from weapons to vehicles. Can easily spend 2 hours here! Right across the street from... More
